There's that rocking chair, again!

I had my hair done in a vintage style for some pinup shoots before this photo was taken and along with the washed out sepia tone, it makes this Polaroid look like it's taken straight out of a history book... a history book about nudes, that is!  Photographers have been celebrating and capturing the nude form since the art of photography was invented, and nude art is an ever-enduring tradition in art all over the world.

I have so very many nude photos of myself, and this project is ...

I picked up this rickety wicker rocking chair at a yard sale with plans to sand and paint it, but lounging on it for a black and white Polaroid was just as satisfying!  Keep an eye out for future content with this little old chair!

I love this classic art nude post and the sense of motion it conveys even though I am in stillness, and the way the half-smile on my lips just barely peeks into the top edge of the frame, like I'm about to tell you something wonderful.

I need more body chains in my life!

You can see I'm smiling in the shadow, and the way I'm bent over on the couch, I'm just begging to get a spank!

This one needs to be framed!

This black and white film looks almost sepia... and reminds me that I need to invest in a better scanner if I plan to continue on this project!

One of my favorite compositions so far!

How does the shadow give the perfect illusion that I have a very-meticulously trimmed pubic triangle in this photo!?  It's like the light is playing tricks on me.  I'm trying to be naked over here!

Trying to escape to a land where I can just be naked all the time.

This is my favorite film.  It always does something different... so unpredictable!

The first Polaroid featuring my new blonde look could almost fly on Instagram, shadow angling in between my legs, while my red lingerie, draping open and spreading a soft, warm shadow from underboob to hip crease, rests at my nipples' edges, but I wouldn't risk it without censoring.

Only my face and my breast are really visible in this photo, and those two parts are painted exquisitely on this piece of film.   Sun highlights my eyes, facial features, and the tip of my nipple, the rest of me enshrouded by a mesh of branches casting a network of shadows and outlining the natural curve of my breast.  With a hopeful and inspired half-smile, I gaze towards the setting sun, and a hint of a yellow spring flower along my eyeline mimics the new shade of my hair and...

I look like I am coming out of a warm, shadowy, tropical jungle in this photo!

Shadowed shrubs against my figure frame one side of me, sunlit trees in the background frame the other, one breast and its opposite hip are lit by a golden late afternoon sun, and the rest of my form in soft-lit shadow creates a masterpiece of light and dark, texture and color, shape and composition.

All right here in my backyard :)

In this pocket on the hotel balcony in Tampa, the wind picking up my hair, along with my expression and pose, give this low-contrast black and white photo the feeling that I might lift off and fly away.  We have a lot of light in this photo, but my curves and muscles are preserved, with the texture of the background painting the edges of my frame perfectly.

Beautiful black and white Sunday!

In the first photo, the composition is layers of the landscape overlapping to capture one unique moment: with my half-clothed form dividing the photo, tree bark outlines my face in profile, silhouetted foliage framing a small patch of the bright building behind me, bringing a contrast to the background and an edge to my shadowed arm, my breast and torso lean in to the shadows of the earth.

In the second photo, my smile greets the sun to com...

There is something so ageless and classic about this photo that it looks like it could have come from any time-period.

The nude form has always been revered in art and photography.  I feel like it needs a big comeback in our age, which is one of the driving passions behind this project.

Thank you for your participation in this journey with me!

I dropped my drawers in a public park in Tampa, for this one!

This photo features many contrasting shapes and textures, my body seems to become one with the giant palms against my bare back, and even the soft shadows across my form seem to paint me gently into the landscape

I forgot to write a caption for today's post, but made up for it by writing art museum-worthy, poetically mellifluous descriptions on the remainder of April's posts.

I love writing like that and intend to keep this style going!  Let me know how your experience with new description style goes!
