Polaroid-a-Day, April 19th.

Natural, low light, soft focus.  But, man, do I love the way my boobs look under this lingerie and in this photo!

Balconies inspire me.  I'm on the search for beautiful balconies, so hopefully we'll see some in my future posts!

Must be the Juliet in me.

Polaroid-a-Day, April 17th + Bonus Photos

After posing for these shots on my hotel balcony in Tampa Florida earlier this month, I knew these 4 had to be a series!  If you have a favorite of these, I'd love to hear which one(s) and why!

Always love hearing from you 🥰

I posed for this shot right before leaving for Mexico on a sunny Saturday, last month!  It was my first time outside that day and the light was so bright.  I was unprepared for it and I'm squinting/frowning against the sun a little in this photo, but not too much that it ruined the shot.

I love the palm trees peeking into the frame in the background and am looking forward to creating shots with more depth in the background!  It is tricky with this film, because dep...

Aren't these pants so fun!?  They are sheer, too, and I want to create more shots in these and do a digital photo shoot in them, as well!  My friend Caitlyn has a matching pair in black and I'm going to ask her if we can do a Polaroid shot together in them 🥰

I am so excited for summer and many, many more water shots!  I am such a water baby and absolutely love swimming and being in or around water.  I am SO lucky to have a private pool where I can create shots like this, but I'm even more excited to explore some superb outdoor water locations for this project soon.

My next step will be to figure out how to create underwater Polaroid shots!  That would be so cool,

I keep wanting to create a sense of motion with fabrics against different backdrops or against my skin...

Side track, funny story.  I am at a work conference, (a totally, non-nude, safe-for-work work conference) and the CEO of the company I'm here with just walked up to my table with his wife while I was working on this post!  Even though I have my back to the wall, I still looked SO suspicious while frantically opening another browser to hide what I'm doing.  It felt a l...

Action shot!  I'm going to experiment with this concept a bit more.  I like where it is going but I want it to be better!  With this project, every day is a new adventure!

I also love this colorful frame, and wanted to try out all the frame options that Polaroid offers, but I think the colorful frame looks better in person, so in the future, I will be using these for shots I give to friends, and keeping the white or black frames (black frame is my favorite), for this proj...

I absolutely love the way the water looks in these photos!  I used one of my favorite pool-floaties for these photographs, but it says "happy summer" on it and since it's not yet summer, I made sure to cover up half the phrase so it just says "happy."  I know it may be silly but I was just not willing to have a "summer" shot in my spring collection 🤣

Which of these photos is your favorite (as always, "both" is a valid answer.)

Happy Spring, and Happy Saturday!

Getting handsy with myself 😼

This shot was another one I got naked in an alleyway for.  The lighting is fun... but you can't tell that I'm anywhere in particular in this photo!  I like the way the overgrown alleyway grass is hinted at in the background... but if I'm going to pose in risky areas, I want the full story to come across!

Taking naked photos in public thrills me and it excites me, getting my adrenaline going so consistently that if I'm ever tired, I ...

I love hanging out on this couch outside in the morning.  When I do my morning journal and tea, I soak up the sun, and it's going to be a great spot for photoshoots, too!

I love many things about this shot, but what I love most about this photo, is that my entire body is in the frame!  My favorite Polaroid shots are the ones taken at a little closer of a distance, but in most poses, this means either my head, my feet, or something else is out of frame.

The catclaw covered me in an accidentally strategic way.

The shadows of my fingers look... frightening... but in a funny way!

Trust me when I say that this project is going to evolve past what we currently believe is even possible!  The journey includes each and every moment, and each and every participant.

Thank you for participating!

I was trying something with the scarf I'm holding but you can barely see it!  Try, try again.  Every day, I gain another chance to learn something new about the photographic art of this project.

Thank you for experiencing the journey with me!

Polaroid-a-Day, April 1st! #FlashbackFriday

Welcome to April!  (I'm reclaiming April Fool's Day as April Boobs Day! Feel free to celebrate with me 😋)

I'm kicking off the month with a flashback:  This double exposure instant print is a self-portrait!  I used to LOVE shooting these on my Lomography brand Instax wide camera, but the cameras kept breaking so I had to switch to Polaroid.  Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the Polaroids but there was something special in the way the Lomo-instant wide wo...

New work- I'm so proud of this set! 35mm film + digital

These photos were shot in a river wash outside of Tucson, AZ.   I really enjoyed this creative nature shoot, and the beautiful film processing that the photographer did!  Any favorites of this set?

Happy Weekend!

Polaroid-a-Day, March 31st + 10 Bonus Photos Dropped!

Today is the last day of the month, so I'm sharing my favorite color photo of this project so far, which I know have already shared but I love it so much it needed to be the cover to this album of extra photos!   These are all photos that I loved, but that didn't quite have all of the qualities individually to make the cut as "photo of the day."  I still wanted to share them so I figured I'd include them all together in one post.

I hope you will stick around into April to...

If a Polaroid isn't immediately shielded from light after leaving the camera, it can ruin the exposure, especially on a very sunny day like this one.  However, this photo was saved by throwing a shirt over it before any more damage is done.  Because the photo is still developing, exposing it to more light will burn out the image.  This  one isn't perfect, but I feel like the accidental overexposure made it more artistic, so I kept it!

An accidental triple-exposure!

I actually love how it accidentally turned out.  The film didn't eject the first and second time the shutter button was pressed... next time that happens, I know to vary my pose a little more each time to come up with a cool shot!

Fun fact: I took this photo at a very busy rest stop.   I was tucked out of sight though, so the masses couldn't really see this quick photo shoot unless they decided to go for a little hike. 😆

The colors of the sky and mountains are so vibrant on this film; I love it!

I have a lot of travel coming up in April, so I am really looking forward to taking lots of landscape shots and fun photos in different cities on my journeys!

Polaroid-a-Day, March 27th + Bonus Photo on Gold Frames

The first shot in this post was taken at the same time as yesterday's photos... really goes to show how different every single Polaroid can turn out and how much of a fun surprise it always is!

I guess this is one of the classic "Jewels" poses and after seeing this a few times in my project, I am ready to start coming up with some different, fun, and surprising poses!

I can't wait to keep this project going into April and see what surprises it brings me!

I felt like getting a little frisky with the Polaroid today but the shadows still created mystery between my legs.  I'm enamored with the shape of the swimming pool as it follows and frames my curves.

And um, can we talk about this gold-frame film for a minute!? This is just the first of the 2 packs I splurged on, so lots more to come with this shiny super frame!   (ok...It's shinier in hand... the scans don't properly convey the shiny-ness 😿)

I feel so anonymous in this photo!

It's a good example of how light and shadow can change the way someone looks... doesn't my hair look long here!?  I also have a tattoo, on arm, and 4 fingers.  But, dat booty, though! 😏

I definitely want to work more polaroid poses in this doorway!  So many shapes to play with 🤩

Continuing in yesterday's golden field, the soft focus conveys a dreamy quality for me in the first shot.  The second shot was a tiny bit overexposed, but the form is still lovely to me so I included it.

I love how much as a model I am learning about the camera and will soon take this understanding behind camera to create art of other people, too!

I wanted to capture a sense of motion and dance in my own figure in this golden landscape.  I absolutely adore the contrast of the blue sky against the golden grass and plan on creating some shots with other models, myself behind camera.

Do you think that Polaroids of other models would be a fun addition to my project, or should I keep it as just photos of me?
