Status Update~

Hey guys! It's been a while. I thought I should probably make a news post to tell people where I'm at.

Sorry again for the lack of Pervader content. I really wanted to get back into monthly updates, but I haven't been able to. Life gets in the way, in small ways that don't really seem that big at first, but they get big enough to become obstacles.

I probably won't have another update too soon. The main problem, as always, is writing. There are a few stressful factors in my life which sabotage my ability to work on the text. It's not necessarily for lack of time, though I have been busy IRL too.

As much as I would wish it, I definitely can't commit to monthly updates, as I've failed to do that so many times by now, and I need to stop pretending that I can do it. I wax and wane too much in everything I do for me to keep a consistent schedule of things.

Every month that passes without an update makes me feel bad for disappointing everyone, but I know it doesn't help to dwell on it. Right now, I just want to do more fun artwork, so that's going to be my focus for a while longer. Though I am a bit cautious since I burned out a bit at the start of the year with that daily art challenge I tried. Still, drawing is a great way for me to make content and feel good about it. I haven't yet done those Alen and Jymsar pics you guys voted on either, so look forward to that too.

That's about it as far as Pervader goes. Not much to say, but I figured everyone was owed a little status update. I don't have any Horny Gaol updates I can show either, though I've been reworking and tinkering with its design quite a bit over the past few months, and I quite like where it's at right now.

Other than that, I guess this is a good opportunity to bring up for discussion the Patreon page itself.

This Patreon page is set up to explicitly support me working on the Pervader project. Once Pervader is done, I was planning on redesigning this Patreon page for all my content, including Horny Gaol and the Pervader prequel I have in mind, but also just for my general artwork. Right now, I only charge per update and never release more than one update a month. Eventually I want to switch to a monthly subscription where I post art that gets suggested and/or voted on by you guys, just like the pinup stuff previously.

At the latest, this will happen after Pervader is finished. However, I could switch to the monthly model sooner and do more community non-Pervader content or feature content for side projects (character designs for Horny Gaol). I really want to get to a point where I do more art for you guys, rather than just visual novel updates, and that way there would be other stuff to look forward to on this page other than huge gaps between Pervader updates.

Also, just in case it needs to be said, I would pause monthly charging during those months when I can't do content, just as I don't charge during months without Pervader updates.

I'm not sure exactly what monthly content would look like if I were to make the switch, but it would probably feature pinups again, probably sketches, with community involvement. Regardless, it's all going to be artwork, and we can figure out the details together.

I believe most of you, when you subscribed to this Patreon were probably only interested in Pervader. If I switched this page so it includes other stuff that I want to do, some of you may not want to support all of that, or maybe you only want me to focus on Pervader.

Right after this post goes up, I'll make another post, a poll asking everyone about what kind of content they're interested in from me. That will help me figure out where everyone stands.

And if I do eventually decide to make changes, I'll let you know well in advance, at least a month before.
