Taiko Shepherd

Taiko got a glow up. Made Taiko’s first version over 6 years ago and he was ready for a new look. He wanted an older gentleman look, grumpier but still toony. It’s a whole suit but here is a head preview for now. Really please with how he came out ❤️ he will be at FWA.

So close to being done

Working on getting this weasel done in the next two days so he can go to FWA. This boy is big 👀 shaving and doing clean up work today.

Back pressure for molds

Working on making back pressure molds for customer printed molds and my own. We had been having a few issues with foam casts having huge bubbles but were able to reduce most problems but creating back pressure when casting. You do need to add some foam release holes as the foam creates a ton of pressure when casting so it will need a place to escape. This one is for a rabbit mold we are working on for a customer.

Run Nomad Sculpt on your pc

Did you know you can run Nomad Sculpt on your computer? (pc in this example) Using an android emulation app called Bluestacks. Works really well and a good option for people who may not have an ipad or android tablet to use this on but have a computer.

Next VRC avatar WIP

Working on a cute, simple fennec like avatar. I wanted to work on something toony. Hope to have this one ready to go public by June 😊. Currently working on this in nomad sculpt then plan to do final sculpting in Zbrush.

Xp pen fox

Little night time project for the company xp pen of their mascot. He’s rigged as well so he can easily be posed or could easily be turned into a simple VRC avatar.

Weight reduction 👀

Cut out a few holes to cut down a bit of weight. The head wasn’t very heavy to start with but any little bit helps. Since I had made the walls slightly thicker on this base cutting a few holes made sense. Ears got adjusted a bit too so they are also lighter. Happy with the way the new head has ear cut outs and want to do this more in the future (makes placing the ears a breeze).

Nomad Sculpt (Working on a head base) Step by Step

This video was started a while back but I did not finish the whole sculpt as I was not loving the vision I had going for this head. But the video has a lot of good information on how I start all my head bases and how I sculpt them. The key thing here is making a head in separate parts and putting them all together. This makes it so it's easier to sculpt and get an overall cleaner look.

Getting my body 3d scanned at my local gym

Last weekend I wanted to get my body scanned after I had talked to a friend who does cosplay. He suggested finding a gym that has a body scanning machine and that way you can get an accurate image/scan of your own body. The scan does come in a bit messy so I took it into zbrush, cleaned up the topology and created a mirror. New wolf on the block

Progress on a red wolf that should be fully wrapped up next week. Had to switch gears and work on a padded body next which hopefully I should have enough to show by next week 👀.

These are slightly smaller than our typical 3d printed bases as they measure 9 inches from cheek to cheek opening compared to the typical 11 inches we do. Working on a giant plush 🐺

Circling back to the idea of working on a giant plush so here we are. Spent last night sculpting the body in Zbrush and doing a quick color on nomad sculpt. Goal is to have at least one if not more to sell at Megaplex. This is something I have never done before but excited to do so ❤️. So who loves giant plush?

New sculpt in the works

Have this Bambi like idea floating in my head. Still a WIP but like where it is going. Going to clean it up and print in parts. Want to see if I can do a fun mix of materials for the ears.

Back From Fur The More (3D panel observation)

Back from the con, had a lovely time and was able to do my first ever 3D sculpting panel. I wish the con had been a bit more accommodating for things I needed for my panel but thankfully we made it work.

Next time I do one of these I need to bring a projector, I need something I can blow up big so people can really see what I am doing. Since projectors work better in the dark we could totally do this while working on the Ipads, but now I need to search for a decent portable projector th...

Sculpture for XpPen

Working on a sculpture for Xp Pen which will be turned into a trophie. It will be a lot easier to sculpt the character in T pose mode this way I can easily rig it and then create the post I want with him. For now this is just an early stage of the model. Need to finish doing his fingers, clean everything up then rig.

Company has been really fun to work with and of course them having a fox was kinda awesome for me. Hopefully you will see some of these trophies given out at Anime Expo in ...

Almost done with the cat kits

Working on printing TPU flexi ears for these at the moment. Will have these kits ready soon 😊 they will come with a few parts ready to add to the head to make it easy to fur/finish.

Expressions

Playing with expressions for both the hyena and tiger avatar in Vseeface. These are all togglable with hotkeys.

Tiger Vtubing Model WIP

Going to try and do quite a few models back to back this year and create into Vtubing avatars. Once the hyena is done being rigged this one will be the next one to be available :).

I am thinking of making a rabbit in this sort of look as well and maybe a raccoon as well. I plan to create quite a few really toony ones too but going to make a bunch of more anthro ones like this before I switch styles over. Will eventually finish a few of these to turn into fill VRC avatars later this year...

Next step :)

Attaching all the textures and getting him ready to rig. He will be the next Vtubing model coming up very soon. I have a couple of others getting really close to being models as well and will continue posting progress.

Happy new year! Hope everyone had a safe and fun holiday.

New year means new Vtubing avatars and started working on the next one, a spotted hyena. Planning on finishing the texture this week to have this guy ready to go sometime this month.

I am also updating the last fox to have better tracking with the ARkit which this one should have as well. Trying out new things on these avatars.

Hope to jump back into doing full VRC avatars soon as well, so expect a mix of both Vtubing...
