I teamed up with AudioThing again and made a new plugin, Dials. It takes one of my favorite passive band pass filters, the Allison Labs 2A and pairs it with modified Siemens Pegelsender. It is an experimental channel strip that can be used for regular and extreme tasks, even becoming an instrument.

This new video is a reflection on "broken by design" instruments, focussing on the Lyra-8. It aches by itself, and I talk about how this can be a hinderance in composing, but also be useful.

Hey Ipsters,
I have been working on getting my studio workflow right and came across this rare beast of mixer in Toronto. With the help of Knobs I got it over here and I am amazed. In many regards this 1976 desk is better than what you can get now to mix synths. Its raw, has cool filters, a spring reverb and a gate that can be used creatively.

I have been obsessed with matrix mixing last week and I love it to bits. Here is a video on how I employ this technique as the effects hub of my studio. Before I used smaller mixes for little experiments, but more is more when it comes to this technique.

Hey Ipsters,
I just put out a new instrument, this time with GForce. It’s bunch of my rare synths and instruments, processed wildly, and recorded to a „Skelington“ a special Mellotron meant for the production of the sound libraries.
It took a long time to record an edit all the sounds, but I am rather happy with the results. Best thing: you don’t need the full MTron, only the free player. Though their are discounts if you get the full thing from the get go.

I recorded it again, like I would in a live stream, except a bit more relaxed. I think this is the way I will handle this in the future. Earlier I stumbled more about words and found it difficult to talk for 40 minutes about diverse subjects, but it has gotten easier. Hurray for self-improvement!
