If you would like to know more about my early influences, I compiled a few and talk about it on PARABOX. I start at about the one hour mark. Its a fun one.

My friend Look Mum No Computer and me got a Casio EG-5 tape recording guitar at the same time - so just as I was going to film my video his went up. This enabled me to focus on the part he could not get to work, namely using it with tape loops.
Soundpack coming tomorrow!

I revisit my now serviced and modded Hohner Electronium, unleashing its full power via FX.
For some reason this was not posted when scheduled by Patreon, maybe because I had set audio and soundpack releases at the same time. Oh well, better a little late than never!

Though you can still hear my voice crackle in this, my voice is back to full strength again and I looking forward to work on new things.

I take a look at one of the rarest and strangest synths out there, the Suiko ST-50. Made to accompany classical Japanese/Chinese poetry, it sounds and plays beautifully.
Enjoy!

I had this on my mind for some time now, and thank to an invite by Hans Kulk of Willem Twee I threw myself into making a track while talking about it. Minimal editing, almost realtime. I don't think I will make this a habit, but I know there are people that enjoy watching the whole process sometimes.

I like Simon, but here he was wrong. The fan organ is fantastic!
Also watch the follow up, the BALLOON ORGAN: https://youtu.be/83UBJpLgsWc
There will one or two more crossover videos with the Magpie, fun stuff.

This is a machine I believe a bunch of you will enjoy! Based on the idea of feedback patching, you can create a lot of sound without any patch cables inserted. It is on the rougher side of synths, but I enjoy its electric, Suicide (the band) vibe.
Watch the premiere with me today, soundpack and music release right after.

I hand over the mic to film maker Julian Moser, who created the visual album to "Light Splitting". Its beautiful to see the ways in which cheap technology can be abused for creative purposes.

Italy has become a place for out of the box pedals and synths, at least in my mind. Here I combine all my Italy-made instruments into one braindance jam.

This Thursday I will be performing live for the first time on the test equipment wall. It’s been a wild time setting this up so far, but I am slowly feeling confident it will work out.
Lomond Campbell will play on his mad machines and my buddy Look Mum No Computer will moderate the talks.

Hey everybody,
I am talking about working with a graphic score in today's video. A nice break from more gear-focused videos I feel, and for a good research subject. I had before shooting this no idea that Morton Feldman lived upstairs from Cage - what a house that must have been!

Light Splitting, my third album on Seil Records, is out today.
It is a love letter to travel and exploration, both in real life and in the rare oscillation of strange scientific electronics and breaking tape. It features the amazing Wouter van Veldhoven on the closing track, which was one my happiest collaborations this year. Give it a listen here:

Hey everyone,
As holidays are going on here for the next three weeks and my wife is at working, so I have the kids, I don't much time to make talkies. Instead I focus on music composition and a still secret long-term project. Here is a piece I made for the joy of exploring an instrument.
When I first played the Ciat-Lonbarde Tetrax I was underwhelmed - I did not much like its square-wavey tone, preferring the more lush Sidrax. But I was wrong. I did not realize how many colo...

In which I show the possibilities and quirks of the Quandrantid Swarm Synthesizer I was send by Eowave to review in exchange for their Metalik resonator speaker. This synth offers a wealth of sound and inspiration in a compact package and has found a place in my heart and rack, in spite of a few things that I, as a member of the club of very big knobs and 50 pound oscillators, have trouble tolerating. Stil, I am happy that I can now finally answer your question "which synth should I buy first...

I just felt like spending time with this rather raw yet beautiful synth, so I made a video on it. Lots of sounds, so you can hear how special this instrument sounds. More soviet stuff coming, if customs lets it pass. Music and soundpack tonight!
