Impulse Responses of the Pool Of The Black Star

Viewer Edouard Morin-Fournier created a set of impulse responses of Pool Of The Black Start in Winnipeg, a truly unique masonic space with stunning acoustics. I converted them to WAV, so you should be able to use them in any program. Thanks to Edouard for making these available to everyone! Do post your use of these in the subreddit, www.reddit.com/r/hainbach.

Cheers,

The Sands Take You

You could almost call this a music video - I filmed it at Kamena Vourla, with its beautiful contrast of rough beaches, ruins of a hotel and stuck in 80s fairground my kids love.

Chase Bliss MOOD

Oh that was fun! Since Joel insisted on sponsoring this video I went to great lengths to put the new MOOD to the test. And I had too, because simple this is not. But now it's in my backpack setup, as it offers so much.

Escape Myself

After five months of non-stop theatre work, touring and the madness that is Superbooth were I played three shows I had to relax by just making music. The Black Corporation Kijimi is the heart of this track - I am babysitting it until a local buyer turns up. Such a good synth, never heard anything quiet like it.

The Bedrichov Session Part 1

I recorded this on holiday the past days, it was peaceful to go out and play in the sun and wind. Sadly, we had a break in (not much stolen, an old laptop and my youngest once piggy bank) so I had to return early. That is why this won't be as long a series of sessions as I had planned. Audio will be up later for you. Take care everyone!

Composing for Theatre on the Modular

I still hear that modular synthesizers are fartboxes, can do only bleeps and bloops or are mainly a source of happy accidents. With the tools available today, its easy to use a modular to precisely score what you have in your mind, and shape just like you would on a multitrack workstation. The added advantages are the joy of hands on control, the sounds of analog circuitry and modulation send to many signals, creating a more cohesive mix even before hitting tape. Recall is of course only poss...

What's to come

Hey everyone!
I am sitting in a snowstorm at the Toronto airport hoping to catch a flight to Winnipeg to perform at Forthwith festival. Will be in Toronto next Tuesday, playing a show and doing a meet and greet at Moog Audio before.

As you might guess, video production is slowing due to that, though I am very hyped about the videos that I have planned. A new C45 will be out Monday.

In regards to new sound packs - how would you like a a set from test equipment? I mean I wil...

Drum Drones (premiers tonight)

Dear Patrons!

Thanks to your support I was able to up the video production schedule a bit before I go on Canada tour. So this week here is a talkie already on Monday and a live show /interview stream on Thursday, with a special guest from Sweden. Join me in tonight's premiere, I love chatting with you while the video runs. It makes this whole thing less of a lone effort.

Later today I will upload the sound pack to this video, too, for the 7.5ipstas and above.
