Viewer Edouard Morin-Fournier created a set of impulse responses of Pool Of The Black Start in Winnipeg, a truly unique masonic space with stunning acoustics. I converted them to WAV, so you should be able to use them in any program. Thanks to Edouard for making these available to everyone! Watch the new premiere with me, in which I demonstrate and make music with a Tektronix Type 160 modular oscilloscope, which makes for a fantastic sounding tube synthesizer. Perfect for heroes of the wasteland.

After five months of non-stop theatre work, touring and the madness that is Superbooth were I played three shows I had to relax by just making music. The Black Corporation Kijimi is the heart of this track - I am babysitting it until a local buyer turns up. Such a good synth, never heard anything quiet like it.

I recorded this on holiday the past days, it was peaceful to go out and play in the sun and wind. Sadly, we had a break in (not much stolen, an old laptop and my youngest once piggy bank) so I had to return early. That is why this won't be as long a series of sessions as I had planned. I still hear that modular synthesizers are fartboxes, can do only bleeps and bloops or are mainly a source of happy accidents. With the tools available today, its easy to use a modular to precisely score what you have in your mind, and shape just like you would on a multitrack workstation. I am sitting in a snowstorm at the Toronto airport hoping to catch a flight to Winnipeg to perform at Forthwith festival. Will be in Toronto next Tuesday, playing a show and doing a meet and greet at Moog Audio before.

Thanks to your support I was able to up the video production schedule a bit before I go on Canada tour. So this week here is a talkie already on Monday and a live show /interview stream on Thursday, with a special guest from Sweden. Join me in tonight's premiere, I love chatting with you while the video runs. It makes this whole thing less of a lone effort.
Later today I will upload the sound pack to this video, too, for the 7.5ipstas and above.
A heads up that I just finished a new OP-1/AIFF soundpack. This together with the original audio files will come in the next two weeks to accompany a new video on ssshhh don't tell yet.
