Ein Sof, The Infinite - by Noah Bradley

Noah Bradley has done the honors of creating a piece of art for the Tree of Life. You guys get to see it a day before it's posted anywhere else because you are special. In the fiction. The Tree of Life is a literal tree that exists inside the Angelarium at its center. It's referred to with a capital 'T' because it is the physical manifestation of all things. It's the body of the Infinite.

Well well. It's remake time again. These always seem easy, but considering I haven't touched this concept since 2007, there is a lot of pressure to do a vastly superior job. I reduced the number of elements dramatically from the original and I've reduced it even further from the sketch. Probably going to be done on Friday again! That seems to be my new release day. With a truncated week this week, I decided to dig out an older WiP and finish it. I was really happy with the overall concept and shapes the way I left it with a few minor issues to clear up. The big point where I've been making larger changes is in the palette and the composition. The older version was cropped too tight focused the temperature and lighting too little. I feel like those are novice mistakes, so I decided to make some sweeping changes. I'm glad I did, because this is turning out...

This is a commission that won't be announced until the 24th, so keep it under your hats. The special feature of this mat is that dark platform the the glowing clouds behind it. I designed it that way so I could do marker drawings of extra characters there. Original works don't fall under copyright, so I can draw planeswalkers fighting an Eva without getting into trouble. Keep an eye out for where this mat will be appearing first! -Pete

What a difference one productive day makes. This is the 3rd color scheme that I've settled on but I'm feeling very confident that this is what I'm going to stick with. Chosen level backers are going to see some of the weird path that lead to this point but it doesn't reveal the layers that ended up getting deleted to edited to make this happen. The end of this series is about a day and a half's worth of work away. After that, there is much, much more to do but I haven't decided on what's next...
