Personal Update/ This Sucks 10/23

Hey everyone, I posted this to tumblr already but I just want to cover all my bases. I don't have the energy right now to go into a full explanation.

So, short version: I was in a car accident earlier today and my car is possibly (probably) totaled. (I swerved to avoid someone who had gone in my lane and ended up in a ditch.)

I'll post a longer update when I know a little bit more (and when I'm not so sore). I don't know what I'm going to do about the car and work situation.

9/26 Author Check-in

Hey, guys. I'm sorry for the radio silence this last week or so. After the public release of chapter 5, I've been letting myself veg out a little so I can recharge. I'm currently experiencing financial struggles (as are we all) and I have several pre-existing health conditions which make those problems worse. Well, it feels like it's been a while since I did one of these. I'm sorry guys, shit's been hectic.

Anyway, chapter 5 is in the editing process. It didn't take nearly as long as I thought it would to get it into twine, but editing will be a bear as the word count is something like +20k and I have had the attention span of a gold fish lately.

No short this weekend guys. I've quickly lost track of time and I've been focusing on chapter 5, which I feel takes priority. Good news is that I have written something like +3000 words the last few days here. So I have been productive in that at least.

Hey everyone! It's been a crazy first full week of work and I haven't had a ton of oomph left when I get home, but that's just me adjusting. I'll get the hang of it.

Chapter 5 is slowly, ever so slowly moving along--I keep saying the demo will be out soon, which is true. I've just been debating over the length of the chapter that should be demo'd.

Anyway, this week's short is a very short interaction between R and the MC focused mostly on R helping MC develop their powers.

7/3 Thoughts, updates, etc.

Patreon is still feeding me an error message whenever I try to upload a large attachment to my posts, so this seems to be a permanent "thing". I was hoping it would resolve itself, but I might have to get hold of support.

That said, I think it'll ultimately be easier to just upload the shorts to itch and then give you access with Patreon. At the very least, that way I won't have to worry about Patreon throwing any tantrums. But that also means I'm going to have things under construction...

Nothing really to say as far as the next chapter goes. I've hit a bit of a bump, but I blame a little bit of burnout as I haven't really given myself any kind of break.
