Hi everyone!
It somehow feels surreal to write this now, but I guess the eye surgery went so well, I am already painting again. My sight is already restored to what it was before when I wore lenses, and supposedly it will heal even more. I feel so grateful.
Anyways, I just wanted to show you the I'm up and running again, and I want to hit the ground already running.
Love the way that sky came out, so I wanted to share that with you - I hope you like it, I'm really excited to...

Hi everyone!
My last sketch before the eye surgery - it somehow feels like this piece carries some weight because of this.
I really want to dig deeper into this mood in this kind of weather, but will make the sunset rather golden.
Love the thought of a lighting stone on top of a tower that guides the ships and eagles through the rain and stormy weathers, a beacon that promises a safe return.
Anyways, thank you so much for your ongoing support, talk to you aft...

Hi everyone!
Always loved the idea of small hidden valleys.
It felt like I need to learn discipline with my colour values, so that the art does not appear to be blurry where it does not need to be. Definitely not there yet, but it's a step in the right direction.
In terms of the concept I like the idea of something being hidden at the ground of the small pond below the waterfall - or maybe behind said waterfall?
In other news, I am fortunate enough to get my ...

Hi everyone!
REALLY looking forward to this one - it has been long overdue to actually focus on one of these stone walls. They've been everywhere in my paintings, but mostly in a distance. I'd also like to try out painting water more, so it will be this hidden valley with a small creek and a waterfall. I love this general idea of things being hidden behind doors, walls, forests or whatever conceals them to create this mystery that you just want to discover!
No idea on the weather ...

Hi!
Waystones like this one can be found all over the lands of Argenta.
Loved working on this one towards the end - not going to lie though, the middle of the process made me pretty desperate as it just didn't catch me as good enough. I'm glad I could pull it off in the end, I think the ethereal feeling that I wanted it to give off works nicely.
Really looking forward to the next painting, I had an idea that I absolutely love, can't wait to try and bring it down on 'pa...

Hi everyone!
Back on track with the mythical stuff again, I plan to make moody weather with some sun here to make it look a bit ethereal It has been too long since I have drawn animals, and I just love the look of sheep minding their own.
There will probably be the sea in the background as well, I love how pixel art gives me the courage to paint vaster landscapes again.
This weekend will be eventful, we'll head into the mountains tomorrow, I'm really looking forward to it. Lots...

The abilities of this stone are still a mystery to the mages, but it seems to have a protective effect on the academy building.
Hello everyone!
Had a lot of fun with this one, and really tried "painting" it more than "drawing" it.
I was in a bit of a creative rut for two days before getting to this idea, but I really like this one.
Take care.

Hi everyone!
I had lots of fun immersing myself into what kind of stuff there could be found in a mages house, and always wanted to paint some simpler items with pixelart. Yet just painting one thing by itself feels boring to me, so I thought I could do a clutter.
I hope you're doing well! My weekend will be rather short as it's packed with events - I'd rather just stay home though 😂🏡
Looking forward to share this one with you!

The city of Alvenor is home to most older coast mages who are legendary for their knowledge of the sea and its ways.
Hi everyone! One of my fastest pieces yet, but a challenge! The atmosphere really was something to overcome - I hope it doesn't feel dark and gloomy to you. The painting itself is pretty straightforward and simple, which led to a lot of experimenting and trying out different stuff.
I am happy with it's execution though, it feels like I definitely went down ...

I kind of got a taste of these hugely scaled pieces somehow. This city (name yet to be found) will be a challenge. I'd like it to be symbolic and mythic, but don't want it to feel depressing or dark, which will be a challenge with moody weather and the scene heavy with rocks.
I'd like it to feel sombre and somehow nostalgic, and I'm looking forward to challenging the rough environment with that feeling.
Take care.

It is not known how many Seeing Stones there are in total, but this one in the Astronomical Academy is one of the few.
Hi everyone,
this piece started to demotivate me more and more when I went through with it, until something just clicked. Somehow it suddenly all started to piece together and felt more and more 'fitting' creatively speaking. I feel like I could 'paint' more than draw this, and am quite happy with the result. If you didn't notice - I removed the cat...

Hi everyone!
A new sketch appears! I'm kind of returning to my older subjects with this one, no clue about the lighting yet though^^
The resolution is getting quite high, I'm doing this on purpose to paint rather than to draw. Really looking forward to painting the seeing stone!
Anyways, talk to you soon, take care!

Hi everyone!
The city 'Parethas' has become famous for its glimstones that are being brought to the light. The mountains have always been a source of hunt and wood for the once small village, and the discovery of glimstones has made it rich and growing over the centuries. The brightest of all glimstones stands tall in the well-known 'white tower of Parethas', and has been a sign of the cities prosperity since it was found.
As we're enjoying our holidays in Italy, I could finish th...

Hello everyone!
This piece will be a challenge, but the thought of how it could look like if done right drives me forward. It will require actually "painting" more than ever instead of drawing, and I've never done such a vast scene before.
There will probably be a water next to the left statue, and I'll have to come up with a concept for the two "guardians".
Anyways - excited to start this challenge. I currently am on vacation for 2 weeks and will be able to draw lots ...

Hi everyone!
On the first day of Summer, the morning sun will stand exactly right to hit the mapstone - and you'll want to be there when that happens. These remnants of an ancient culture can be found all over Argenta, sometimes people even use them as a place to live - yet few of them understand or ask themselves what they see in their everyday lifes.
Anyways, I feel like I learned a lot about the sky and lighting with this one, and feel like I am gradually losing my fear of drawing...

Hi everyone!
The idea of this mapstone started with it being in a cave, so it made quite the journey to end up on these cliffs. Always loved the idea of ancient cultures leaving trails set in stone, and Argenta has seen some amazing cultures rise and fall again.
This will also be my first character in pixel art, and I kept it really small on purpose to show how big the mapstone is.
I'll really have challenge for this with the lighting this time, but if it works out I want to...

Many of the writers of the Argentian Islands live away from the big cities for most of the year. The writers guild even gifts some of their best a small cottage at a place that is a source for their inspiration.
Some prefer the plains or mountains - this one has fallen in love with the sea and its winds.
Hi everyone! Learned some new things with this one - not just the cloud, but I wanted to get bolder with my composition as well. I LOVE landscapes with lots of ups and downs, and de...

Hi everyone!
I actually went back to my old love, the iPad. I really liked Aseprite on PC, however nothing beats the intuitiveness of Procreate on the iPad for me. It just feels so natural and not at all clonky, so I just naturally felt the need to return.
Really looking forward to painting this one, I have a rather high pixel amount set in this one and want to learn lots with it as always.
Anyways, in other news - I signed a contract with my first 'real' job in my actual field...

Hello everyone! XP-Pen UK was so kind as to send me a tablet to review. This was my first collaboration with a company (I've turned down a few in the past), and it is really cool. I'll do a small review on my socials soon. The biggest change is that I'll be using "Aseprite", an almost legendary software that was purposely scripted to do pixel art. I must say I absolutely love it so far, and what better subject to try it out than a tree - a subject that was my first pixel art piece ever.

Here we are! Took me way longer than usual to finish this because I had a commission that had to be done fast, but I'm glad I could finish it now.
While this certainly feels a bit more modern than my usual settings, I still love the thought of staying there. I learned a new thing in this drawing that I'm probably going to use way more often - the path through the grass. Love the way it makes us think about somebody living there.
Anyways, I will be able to release a new wallpaper p...

Felt the need to get out with my drawings again, under the limitless sky. On my way home from work I can see a shed on a hill, and it somehow inspired me to do something with this.
Really looking forward to testing my skills with this one, yet still staying with what I love to draw!
I got to take care of a commission though, which wants a 'Stardew Valley-esque' scene, and I'm free to go ham with it. I'll paint this scene parallel to it, but it will take more time.
Hope you h...

Felt like drawing an interior again. I got to be honest with you though - I even thought about not pulling it through. After doing the lighting I think it turned out quite well though.
I really like the idea of a herbalist living a quiet life there, tending to the garden and reading books in the spare time.

Hi everyone! Coming to you with an interior this time, feels ages ago that I last drew something like this. The lighting will be a challenge, as rooms like these are lit really softly and not in a direct way most times. I have also been playing with the idea of making the window stained glass, but not so sure about it yet - we'll see if I get a clearer feeling during the process.
Overall, I'm really looking forward to take on the challenge and make this as cozy as possible!

Hi everyone! I told you I wasn't sure how to do the lighting, so I decided to try out something completely new. I wanted to give it a more sombre feeling, and as always tried to learn a bit more about textures. I think I'll actually have to get bigger with my usual canvas size again, and learn to actually paint. The lighting is so much fun this way, it makes the whole scene calmer than my usual vivid colours everywhere. I need to find a balance with it.
Anyways, scenes like this ...

Hi everyone!
Felt a need to draw something with a view on water again, so my mind took me to this farmland on a coast. I think I learned a lot about colours with the Forest God piece - now I want to focus on textures, especially with the big foundling and the background.
I'd absolutely love to live near the sea as so many Argentians do, as the whole of Argenta is a huge collection of islands. What bothers me right now is that I still don't know what to do with the lighting b...

Here it is! I stopped at one point and had to look up how these stone formations that I always loved - they're called "Dolmen". I just had to change the sketch then, and dabbled around a bit with the offerings that were supposed to hang on the tree, which I eventually substituted with the standing stone on the left.
I feel like I learned a lot about values and colour relations with this piece, and as much as the scene bored me at first, I now see the beauty in it.

Hi! Thank you so much for your ongoing support. Feeling blessed that you want to see my work!
This will be awesome to draw - it might feel really dull at first, but I plan on learning a lot with this piece. I want to focus on stylization and colours mainly with this one, it is important not to want to learn everything in one piece.
I'm hoping to find cool references in Ghibli trees, and always loved these foundling stones that can be found sometimes. Keeping the scene natura...
