Bremen Night Animated
I went on a short trip this week to the Wye Valley area in England and the landscape there inspired another 'travel' location that I had been thinking about for a while, which is this river valley. It still seems to me that these locations would come in handy for most groups that are not fully immersed in a city adventure. And a location like this could be travelling on the river itself or through the valley on foot, either hunting or trying to avoid being the hunted.
Lemme know what yo...

When travelling through the wilderness parties are often trying to find somewhere safe and out of danger where they can rest easy through the night, and having them find a cave is always an easy one. I think my party rested in caves twice just last session. As I have said previously, I feel like by making these kinds of images I am encouraging people to roleplay more, as these are the perfect opportunities. And I'm fine with that.
So, let me know what you think of this one and other sim...

I painted Bryn Shandar before I had properly read the Rime of the Frostmaiden book and realised that the entire adventure is set at night. So, finally a night version.

I've had quite a few people suggest painting some of the city districts from various Sword Coast cities, and also some city scenes that could be used in the same way as my wilderness travel paintings. I obviously thought this was a good idea and hopefully useful along side the couple of shop interiors I have done and would like to do more of. And as usual I made both day and night versions of this one, as I think night adventures in a city would be pretty common.
Let me know other types...

I've done a few different wilderness campsite now, but I thought that I'm missing one of the most common, the roadside. It's impossible to know how every party travels from city to city. But, I thought a wagon would be a fairly common occurrence if the party is travelling along a road, otherwise one of the other wilderness campsites could be more applicable. I like to think that I'm encouraging roleplay in more groups by doing these kinds of locations. I often like to ask my players what job ...

This is a location that I did a few months back for my own game but never put it up for patrons. The church in my world wields quite a lot of power, so is able to sustain quite grand churches, but I think there are probably many such churches in some of the major sword coast cities for example. Or perhaps, you're party is trying to find a high level priest to resurrect one of their fallen party members. I think this could serve as a good backdrop.
After doing all the different wilderness travel scenes that I think people find useful, I wanted to follow that up with some different wilderness campsites. I have done a couple of forest camp sites already so I thought a tundra campsite would be good for folks running RotFM or equivalent snowy adventure. Quite a simple scene I think, but hopefully fun to use once or twice when the party camps in the wilderness.
Let me know if these will be useful and what other campsites might be the m...

I have always felt it was kind of an honour to be able to contribute to the D&D community, and I know many other independent creators feel the same. It’s crazy when you think about the amount of content that independent creators make as a whole and when you compare that to what a centralized entity like WotC is capable of producing. If you look at it in those terms, then t...

I wanted to do a couple more wilderness exteriors this month while I'm still working on the catalogue website (which I am close to finishing *fingers crossed*), as they are usually quicker paintings, and I had the great suggestion for a Tundra wilderness scene that could be used for Rime of the Frostmaiden. Luckily, I'm still making night version along with all the outdoor locations I paint, so with Icewind Dale being in eternal night, that is the version that I'm sure those folks would want ...

My friends over at Alchemy VTT have just launched a short 90 free trial of their premium membership and along with that, access to a bunch of free content packs from a group of D&D creators like myself. Included are 'Big Bads' from Hit Point Press, The Griffons Saddlebag book one, a bunch of animated maps from CzePeku, and of course one of my art packs.
You can check out the details here <...
