Practicing Good Hygiene

Once again, I'm trying to accurately document what women do when men aren't around. No sexist fantasies, no cliches. Just sober, realistic representation. I really think I nailed it. See, there's nothing sexual going on here. You're projecting that, ya sickos. This is just three responsible women doing their part to conserve water in a time when many areas are experiencing shortages or even droughts. I, for one, would like to thanks them for their efforts.....

Ridiculous

Just a mini-post. I caught myself trying to work on two things at once: a Boneyard page, and a sculpture commission under my alter ego, Grayson Fogg. Doesn't really work. Even I can't multitask to that degree. But it did bring up a question: Would any of you be interested in seeing any of that other work here? I'll include some samples below so you know what the hell I'm talking about.

Just Charli

It's Charli again, from Macabre and the pinup of her getting some tongue-teasing from the man in the moon. This may actually have run in Macabre...or maybe in a "Dark Ladies" gallery in Sizzle...? Who cares. Sorry for the low-rez scan. I'm going to be doing a color version, maybe several, to experiment with background colors a bit. I actually have a whole gallery of Charli pinups planned. Maybe I'll post some around Halloween. Sca...

It's Good to be the King

I don't know what Brutus did to deserve this, but holy shit. He's probably just dreaming. That's it. Now if only I could have dreams like this. Do I get Abbey's sweet patch planted on my eager face? Nooo, I get my old gym teacher dressed like Jesus, laughing at my penis. Or maybe it's just Brutus' birthday.

Which reminds me... I'm taking a little time to do a birthday commission (ho...

Chipmunk Girl Pinup

I've always liked the chimeric blending of human and animal, in fiction and art, so I might've drawn this any time, but I believe it was done around the time I did The Pound. This cutie would probably have found her way into the series, if it had ever been more than a one-shot. She actually reminds me of Chloe, a flying squirrel "chime'" who would have debuted in the never-published second issue. (You can still see her in the character sketches at the ba...

Nessie's New Game

I've got quite a few mini-arcs to do in the form of shorts, mostly because they're all light and fun (though I'm also anxious to get to the first bigger story arc, as it's really going to shake things up, and I've already planted the seeds...), but even after we're into official, long-form story territory, I'll be pausing the ongoing story of the moment to do a few seasonal shorts. This mostly involves the holidays, but I also intend to do at least on...

It Continues...

Still trying to get the email situation sorted out, and a few days ago my laptop died. It has all my work on it. A friend is trying to recover my work files (all that really matters), so we'll see. It just means that it's even more difficult to communicate and work right now. My apologies to anyone who's been trying to get ahold of me. I'm doing my best to get things sorted out and back to normal. Just please bear with me in the meantime. Hopefully I'll be able t...

Yahoo Sucks Balls (in a bad way)

Hey all. Yahoo has for some reason locked my wife and I out of our emails accounts, with no way back in. So I may not get messages for awhile. I'll try to get things sorted out as quickly as possible.

Abbey Beseeches Paris

I admit it, spiders are a semi-phobia for me. Not all spiders. We have quite a few of the spindly-legged house spiders commonly mislabeled as daddy long-legs around the house, and I actually try to help feed those guys. We also have a lot of jumping spiders in this area, and those little fellas are downright cute. If you recall, a jumping spider was my original design inspiration for Bob.

'Wulf in the Lead

A reader once tried to peg my age by analyzing my choices for Deja's clothing. This was a dead end for two reasons: First, as a homeless vagabond, Deja is dirt poor. Her wardrobe (which she keeps in a "pocket dimension" accessible via a portal she generates at will) is entirely sourced from thrift stores and flea markets. She's not concerned with how it looks or whether or not it's dated so much as if it will fit. (This is also why her clothing is often so threadbare.) And second, referring t...

"Clover"

Funny thing about sketching this piece: I kept erasing and redrawing and adjusting the face without knowing why. Then, once it was almost done, I realized why: I had unconsciously been trying for a likeness of an actress I've seen all of one time.  Those of you familiar with one of my favorite movies, The Warriors, might remember a gang in the movie called "The Lizzies". The gang's leader was an adorable brunette I always had a thing for. Something in the process of ske...

Nessie Gets a Rise out of the Guys

Okay, here it is. I asked, you answered. Nips or no nips? An emphatic "Nips!" was the response. Really emphatic. Some of it was over-the-top, to be honest. I mean, "Nipples! Yes, holy fuck, nipples! ALL THE NIPPLES!  NOW!" ? C'mon, man; I'm not gonna name names, but be cool, okay? They're just nipples. How do you think Glump's little nutsack and butthole feel? Unappreciated, that's how. Like second class citizens.

Nessie Has a Word With Paris

I've always liked this one. It captures Nessie's essence perfectly. And artistically, it demonstrates a point I've tried to make a number of times.

Whenever I post a piece, I first have to clean it digitally. This means getting rid of dust and cat hairs, as well as many, many little fuck-ups by yours truly. But when I enlarged this pinup, all (okay, most) of the little errors didn't bother me. The difference? Somehow when I drew this piece I did so a little more "casually" than...

Xela, In Charge of Anal Probing

Obviously, another in my small pinups series.  I'm not sure where I stand on the whole alien abduction thing, but I'd hate to be on the receiving end of one of Xela's anal probes (that is, I'd hate for my end to receive one).  I'm sure she's a competent professional, but unless she's three feet tall, and her probes are commensurately smaller than they appear, I'd ask if an oral swab would suffice. Interestingly(?), this alien is a bit of departure for me. Ever since I wrote a M'...

Abbey Apologizes

I'm currently putting together portfolios to try to get some work in the sci-fi/fantasy/gaming fields. Some will be older pieces that fit the genres, but there will be new work as well. I'll post some here, including some process images. And speaking of work process, I wanted to address the subject of videos.

Patreon creators who do videos tend to do much better than those who don't, and I'm still trying to get to a point where I can just focus on the kind of comic art you all wan...

Abbey Looking Sharp in Tux with Tails

Did anyone here ever see the "Women of Boneyard  " folio I did, way back? It was a collection of nude and semi-nude pinups of Abbey, Nessie, and yes, Hildy. I only made twenty or so folios, so I doubt many have seen them. This low-rez scan is all I could find of this piece. I did what little cleaning-up I could. I'd love to see whatever dance routine went with this costume. Any interest in me doing more folios like this in the future?

What'cha Think?

I have a decision to make, and I was all prepared to lay out the situation for you all to get your input, but then I realized--we, here, are so simpatico, so on the same page, that we don't need all that. You just get it. So here's the question: Nipples or no nipples?

A Hockey-Masked Killer I Wouldn't Run From

Another in my series of small pinups. I'm actually doing several versions of each piece--sketch (refined), black-and-white, colored black-and-white, and painted--to see which I most enjoy doing and which produces the best final product. If there's enough interest I might eventually collect them in a book. And if it's of any interest, not all pieces make the cut. So far in this series about one in three has been good enough to pursue and share here. The rest remain in my sketchbook in their pr...

Paris Doesn't Like Spiders

Here's a good example of the limitations of the medium. This page plays okay, but not great. To make maximum use of space, I've used different clothing, settings, and  "thought balloon"-shaped panel borders to communicate that Paris is flashing back to instances when his fear of spiders was obvious (and should have been remembered by Abbey). Not ideal, but workable. However, coming out of the flashbacks, there ideally should be at least one panel of just Paris, staring incredulously at A...

I Seem to Like Werewolves

I'm not aware of having any particular affinity for any one creature from supernatural legends, but awhile back I happened to notice that, among all the projects I was working on, four of them featured a werewolf of some sort. I've also done a number of werewolf drawings (including the one above), and several pieces in my little pinups series have been werewolves.  What the hell. I have yet to have anyone complain, though, so it can't be th...

I Don't Even Know

I have no idea who these characters are. I don't remember if they were characters the commissioner had created, or if they're established characters he just liked.  (No offense to the commissioner; I just do too many commissions to keep track of, and I'm not familiar with many adult comic characters.) Does anyone recognize them? And did I get the likenesses anywhere close to right? They're not like my designs, so I'm assuming I had reference.

Paris Responds to Abbey's Request (2 of 2)

I don't like spiders, I'll admit it. And the bigger the spider, the greater the ick- factor. But there's a weird bell curve when it comes to spider size and scariness: Tiny spiders, harmless; not scary. Big enough to harm a human, scary.  Even bigger, scarier still. But when you get up to Bob's size, or, say, the tarantula in Tarantula, you enter an abstract, impossible-to-believe level that I can't engage with. In a short story, Stephen King once w...

Here's a Weird One

Sometimes customers come up with ideas that would simply never have occurred to me. Can you figure out what this commission depicts? Note the hair, the broom, the hat...  That's right, this is Boneyard's Hildy, suddenly transformed into a hot, essentially normally-proportioned woman. Don't get your hopes up, though.  This is pure fantasy; in Boneyard stories, Hildy will remain her normal, adorably roly-poly self.  And if you're cu...

Abbey Asks for a Favor (1 of 2)

We'll be wrapping up the "Bob intro" pages soon, after which there will be a few more shorts, followed by some longer story arcs.  I want to keep the shorts visually consistent, but when the longer arcs start, I'll be introducing gray tones, as in "The Bigenning".  I'm just more comfortable with a range of tones, and I want to convey atmosphere better than I can with inks alone. It also helps greatly with adult content, as you can see if you...

A Refined Southern Lady

I actually didn't have a scan of this for some reason, but the commissioner was nice enough to send me one. This is one of my favorite pieces of Meg, mostly because of her expression. I haven't the faintest idea what could have forced her into that dress, but she is clearly not happy about it.  And I'd hate to see what would happen to the first person to make fun of her for it.  You just know she's got a knife and at last one pistol under there.

A Commission of Death

Someone commissioned this piece, then stiffed me. Can you believe it? This piece and a second one, in fact. Completely ghosted me; never heard from him again. It's weird, but that's always the way it happens. Well, I shouldn't say always--it's only happened to me twice. But why be so dickish about it? If your finances change after you commission a piece, I'll usually understand. I'll likely be disappointed, but no one understands changing finances better th...

Finally! Actual Comics Resume!

Did you ever think you'd see the day? Comic pages appearing on a comic Patreon page? How innovative!  All hilarious self-deprecation aside, I finally got a few pages ahead on Boneyard , at least enough of a buffer to start posting again. Going forward, I'm dropping Creep's End for now.  Producing two titles, plus the other content, just makes progress on those titles too slow and difficult to follow. I think...

A Somewhat Obscure Couple

Okay, anyone recognize these two? Anyone besides the person who commissioned it, I mean. Give up? Yeah, I wouldn't 've gotten it either. She's a waitress at The Dark Corner (the interdimensional bar that connects several of my titles), and he's a regular there.  They've each appeared in at least one Fire & Brimstone mini-series. It's a good thing I have so many characters for readers to connect with...and that people are willing to pay ...

Abbey and Death again

When I posted the pinup of Abbey and Death in bikinis, I believe someone (Jose?) commented that it was an unexpected pairing. I just wanted to share an earlier commission of the two, in rather different setting and dress. I suppose it says a lot about my hermitic existence that I'm almost as covetous of the locales as I am the beautiful women.  (Okay, that's an exaggeation, but you get my point. I like beaches and old cemeteries.)
