A Cheesecake of Horror Design

     I have a fondness for the classics, as you know, and monster girl pinups don't get any more classic than a sexy female swamp creature. Cheesecake of Horror will have more than a few. It's also a fun concept to play with, in terms of design: fins, gills, scales, skin coloration patterns, etc.; not to mention that when a figure is underwater, gravity is not really a factor in posing. Meg Final Costume Design

     Here we have Meg's final costume design for "Undercovers". As I was roughing out the first pages of the story, I noticed that the short stockings weren't very flattering, especially after the skirt comes off.      Here we are at the next stage of the Day of the Dead commission. Obviously I've sketched-in Death, but a lot more has happened as well. I've added Deja's hands, Maria's hand and fan, and rendered Abbey's dress. Evil Deja Commission, Completed

     So here she is--evil Deja, before she was Deja, that is--inked, then with gray tones. I should have pointed out with the last commission that, as with this one, when I know I'm going to be adding gray tones, I ink much more sparingly, sticking mostly to thick lines and omitting thin lines that indicate tones, shadows, etc. This is because, while you can use graphite over thin ink lines, it's not a pretty thing.      As usual, I forgot halfway through this piece that it was supposed to be a work-in-progress presentation, hence the jump from inks to final render. Oops.      Waaayyy back, when I still had a thing called optimism (yes, that far back), Elin Winkler, owner and editor at Radio Comix, created a character called Cookie. I thought the character was adorable, so I did a couple of pinups of her. I think this ran in an issue of Milk!, but don't ask me which issue. Apologies for the poor image quality; I cleaned it up as best I could, but the scan just sucks.
