When I was in 2nd grade my teacher Mr. Osborne (who also put it in my head to be an artist by turning me on to Degas & Pollock) let us do Mandalas for math. I’m really sharp at arithmetic but I prefer the trippy visuals of Mandalas. I didn’t know that they were also a sort of visual spiritual space too, I’d figure that out later.

Conventional New Years is weird for me, because I observe Rosh Hoshana (Jewish New Year usually in September) then Lunar New Year (usually in March) & I’ve worked on course correcting any issues that come up for me during the year. One of the things I think Lovecraft was onto is the way that inter dimensional & advanced outer space creatures mess with the affairs of Earth people. If you read enough occult lore you eventually find that people have two options, the inner & connected with other humans, the Earth & the Universe or these inter dimensional beings that want to control our energies by harnessing us into their patterns. It sounds flaky or insane but it’s true.
