it’s weird, I like drawing puppets. I like how rigid & weirdly proportioned they are in stills & how they come alive in real life. We went to the Muppet Museum show back in 2008? In Seattle & I had a chance to bring some Muppets to life on a stage that was supposed to replicate the kind of stages that Jim Henson pioneered.

I’ve started to draw again with my left hand & I can feel some of the flavor coming back to my drawings & the actual act of drawing feels pleasurable. The tremor is basically gone & now I’ve got to put in my 10,000 hours again!

I’m working on Die Würst 6 & a piece on the Holy Order & death & I’m thinking about how a culture that doesn’t believe in a before or after life maintains control of the populace. I’m working on a bunch of new concepts for DUNGEON DEGENERATES that are so science speculative, they enter the realm of science fiction, but that is the area I must venture into to posit the ideas I have in a way that people will hear them.

We watched Beyond Thunderdome last night at our cool local theatre the Academy. Despite it's goofiness, I really like how much world building they crammed into the movie, also I really like the commentary on humanity in general that the cargo cult of little kids implies, I also really like this song. When I was researching this I was reminded that Tina Turner is now a Swiss citizen!

Another old piece that I colored while working on the Halloween Book (I'm almost done!) This was part of my original formations of DUNGEON DEGENERATES, where I was taking tired, old, fantasy tropes & running a number on them. I think these things constantly have to have new life breathed into them or they get stale, but I also know that my brain just does that naturally, it's the way I see things.

I’ve really gotten into these Russian Fantasy Movies, they’re my new favorite! Last night we watched Kashchey the Immortal. The movie is from 1945 & directed by Alexander Rou who also directed a number of other Russian Fantasy Movies that I have really enjoyed.
