here’s the character that’s going to be featured in december’s oc spotlight: vasilisa. she‘s a folklory witch to say the least and her brand of witchcraft often gets pretty grimy. as i was doing these sketches i realised that naked and covered with blood, performing an ancient ritual in a moonlit clearing in the depths of an old boreal forest, each tree full of black cawing birds is very much her aesthetic.
