So this isn't my favourite ATEEZ album which is CRAZY cos on Discord ya'll are EATING it up. I DEFINITELY prefer the second half and I think it's good they kinda manage to give a variety of sounds whilst still remaining true to their sound but I do feel like auto-tune and distortion on the vocals has GOTSSS tah-go or AT LEAST be more of a selective choice as opposed to, all the time besides like one or two songs lol.

The WAY ATEEZ cleared is not even funny lol.
Something told me to put them last and I'm glad I did. They not only were EXTREMELY Charismatic and engaged, they made it look like it was THEIR concert and they were having FUN and you had no idea what they were going to do next. Their mics were on a LOT of the time and it added MUCH needed energy AND they didn't have that TIRED AS DANCE BREAK instrumental everyone has. You can see the benefits of being a touring experienced act.

This definitely wasn't my bag overall and probably an album I'd need to be in the mood for however I do find Onew's delivery to be disinterested through-out except a couple of songs.
I'm curious if this'll be the case for his other albums too because he does have that crooner like tone but I'll have to investigate that further.

Taerae is being pushed beyond his limits I think and I hope he finds an efficient technique so he isn't as tense or sustains damage because he sounds like he has a rich deeper more baritone voice that doesn't need to be overly extended beyond its means.

The overall conclusion from this is that Jessica is much more talented than the music she's being given which I still prefer because her voice is the center piece and BOY does it shine. The melodies she chooses and how agile she is...exciting!
It's such a shame she isn't in a big company with a crazy budget because she would truly soar.

The way this is their BEST album to date blew me away!
The growth in vocals, vocal production and even the general musical direction was a genuine surprise that pleased me greatly lol.
Sweet Venom is the weakest link for sure, way too generic on an album that feels more unique otherwise.

That Maniac song is catchy as fuck.
I like it though but we all have retro song fatigue I'm sure, the main difference between them and Oh My Girl is that they're vocals are very average which is a shame cos they're great performers AND I think they could be something special as a trio.

As many of you have said and added to my points, Wendy is no doubt a very skilled vocalist but she's also very clean and technical that at times it feels too safe and lacking individual interpretation.
Her doing musicals definitely makes sense because of the dramatics she can deliver when it's called for.
Still enjoyed it a lot though!

The greatest thing about this mini is it's sonic cohesion, it's quite refreshing to hear sounds throughout that feel connected.
Now, did anything blow me away and give me hope for the future? Hard no. I think we can safely assume WakeOne will never be that girl.
I DO commend them on the fresher more current genres tho that we here sprinkled out like the garage/drumnbass vibes AND the good vocals but the production value is lacking some polish for sure.
