This guy has a good reputation on FB for selling stuff and he knows a good amount about PVMs and BVMs. He's listed a few decently priced PVMs. Worth checking out if you are near him at all. Also - if you have a monitor to sell, feel free to link to the listing on the community posts. Thanks!

Hey everyone. Here are some pics from a repair I've finished. This is a beautiful 1983 Commodore CRT that belongs to my buddy Try @ My Life In Gaming. This CRT had some bezel damage from shipping. I'm really excited about how well this turned out. Video coming soon!
Thanks

Here is a look at an Ikegami TM 20-20R Pro CRT Monitor. This is a great alternative to a Sony BVM or PVM. It also is one of the few Pro CRT Monitors that uses a very sleek pull-out drawer for adjustments. Thank you so much for your support and please send me a DM if you have any questions.

Hey everyone. I got some new flux paste and super fine gauge leaded solder. These were well rated. I'll let you know how they work out after the next few upcoming projects. Thanks again and have a great day.

Let me know if you contact the seller and how it goes.

Hi everyone,
Here is an overview of a couple great small accessories. The first is for Sony PVMs and BVMs. I'm sure they will all sell out of Savon Pat's store next week when the video comes out, so you may want to buy them before they are gone if you are considering it.

Today I spent more time working on the Sony PVM 2530. I rebuilt the neck board and it's working good. I still have the jitters until the screen has time to warm up. On to the next PCB.
Have a great night and thanks.

Hey everyone. I have been working all day on this 2530. It has an issue where the horizontal size will randomly expand and contact about 1/2" or so in overall size.
I've installed a different neck board and recapped the entire deflection board. I also changed flyback to one I served. Tomorrow I'm going to look at the PSU and Yoke itself.
Just wanted to share some progress. Thanks again for your support. Please DM me if I can help with anything.

I've been pulling vital parts off some 2530s to help piece together a couple of nice 2530s. I was removing the flyback today off a parts unit and wow this thing is odd. Sony had a weird design for this tube and flyback. There is a tiny spring installed in the anode ring!
I just wanted to share this. Thanks everyone.

Hi everyone. This video covers the popular Sony PVM 8041Q field monitor. This PVM went to Patreon member AJ. These smaller CRTs suffer from unique manufacturing drawbacks. This is a perfect bench CRT for testing.
Thanks and have a great day.

This looks like a good deal on a desirable CRT in Britain that was shared with me on eBay. I'd buy it if it was near me.

Hey everyone. This PVM has been fully cleaned, calibrated for geometry, calibrated for convergence, and has had internal PCB work performed. This line of PVMs suffers more from “Cold Solder Joints” developing over time. To prevent this, the vital boards have had solder reflowed. All other components, including capacitors, have been inspected and tested. The monitor will work as intended for years. Th...

Hey everyone. I wanted to give you a behind the scenes look at what I've been working on the last two weeks. I got my hands on 6 x 2530s and big 3230! These needed lots of love.
These belong to Patron Eric! I'm sure he'll enjoy them. Look for some good videos this month.
Thanks

Wow, the last few months have seen some amazing sales, but this may take the cake. Over $1,700 for a 14M4U (like new).

Hi everyone. This is a direct link to a site that sells copies of the 240p test suite on cartridge. This tool helps me calibrate and test every CRT I work on. Please note that I don't get anything if you order this product, but I recommend this if you don't use any everdrives, etc.

Hey everyone. I've found the perfect CRT caulk for applying to the CRT neck and along the deflection yoke. It's called RTV and it's what Sony used for BVMs back in the day. It's got a high heat tolerance and all around great.

Hey everyone. To show my appreciation for your continued support, I will be adding something new for RT Patrons. I will be starting to do write ups, similar to this one, where I go into detail on how to service specific things. Please let me know what you think of the write-up. Again these write ups will be once per month and will be exclusive to Patreon only for the time being. Also I am publishing this to Google Docs and I will include a PDF attachment to this ...
