We're still in the middle of pulling everything out of the kitchen cabinets and saying things like "is anyone every going to actually use this?" Then we're cleaning up and putting things back in different places, reorganizing things for more convenience. It's taking forever.
The smoke continues to fill the air from the fire in the mountains, there's no rain, and today was ridiculously hot for this time of year. So that's horrible. Pretty sunsets, though.

Here's another Magic the Gathering drawing Phil did, and also the words for tonight's page.
I'm currently wrapped up in getting the old What's New comics back up and running online, along with Buck Godot and Phil's MythAdventures. The script that ran them broke long ago, and I haven't had time to mess with them.

We managed to get our hands on one of those 12 foot Home Depot skeletons, so sometime in the next few days we're going to need to set it up. I'm a little nervous about how that will go.

Today is Phil and my 29th wedding anniversary! We celebrated by trying to clean some of the impacted clutter of the last 20 years, focusing on the dining room. We have also been signing our way through the 20,000 book plates we need finished for the last Kickstarter, and watching the Lord of the Rings movies while we do it. Well. This is pretty close to the wire, but here it is. Today we got to go to the art supply store and outfit the youngest kid for college art classes. This is not cheap, but a lot of the things you get in college you use for the rest of your career, so what the heck. I still use the same Exacto knife I bought in my University days.

Our lovely cool weather was short-lived, now we're choking with smoke. Feh. I am eagerly awaiting the return of proper rain. Our state is on fire, and there have been evacuation notices up in the mountains. Nowhere near us, but near other people, so I hope they're all ok.

Well. I've just realized that our solution to needing to take some time off to write is to write something else at the same time to fill the space.
Possibly not the most economical solution, but it's always worked before.
Anyway, here's a story about Franz, the Great Dragon of Mechanicsburg. It won't be a very long one, but it will give us a bit to breathe.

Well. No proper page today because I've got Phil drawing the cover for Volume 21, and we're sorting out the details of the stuff that happens next. So we don't get it horribly wrong, you know.

We'll be at the Emerald City Comic-Con this coming weekend! Well, our booth will be, and so will Phil. I may not, since I'm still working.
Setting up the reprints for the printer is taking a LOT longer than I'd hoped, but I should still meet their deadline. Every time I turn around there's something else I missed.
I found a spelling error in Volume One. I guess it's been there for 20 years.
