Everything is ok

Had some surprise surgery with the wife. Nothing major but she's doing great and everything is OK.  Glad I got the car fixed last night.

Day 4 of no car. Anger rises.

So I got these quick Jack's.  It's like a mini lift.  Raises the car up three feet.  When you're tubby with huge boobs having a car raised that high is a huge plus.  I hate working under cars and I tried to fix it all weekend from up top but whatever.  So I figure hey make it easier and raise the car up all at once with those quick Jack's got like 9 months ago.  Start time 6am.  It took me until 4pm just to finish setting them up getting all the lines secure...

So I knew that using dried lumber and non quartersawn was going to be an issue until I get the board on top that ties these three together but damn it has a hard bow in it.  I can still push it back into shape but I have to get the frame of this done asap.  The 12th though... people are coming to put down a concrete floor for the shop so I'm not on sloped gravel anymore which is cool.  Down side i have to clear the shop out and can't use it for 5 days

well  simple answer is if its over 90 degrees or the heat index is, i dont until it cools down until later in the evening.  i do have neighbors so i only do it for an hour or so most days. 

Why? well its the same reason in the warm months i dont wear much in the shop.  in my late teens and early 20s i had so many bad instances of heat stroke due to being in desert areas for reasons... that now, when i start to get too hot it can very easily kill me. so i have to watc...
