Taking a break from AB to make a casual, semi-announcement post.
For the longest time, I've been toying with the idea of opening up a $5 NSFW tier. Basically, this will comprise of MPL / AB characters (Tora/Poppy, Soldier/Princess, etc.) in non-canon (completely unrelated to the actual comic):
- NSFW sketches
- NSFW short comic scenes
- Polled NSFW sketches
- Or maybe even sketch requests of other characters

I've been having itchy red hives all over my body for the last few days, which I suspect is an allergic reaction to a new prescription drug that I started taking (and promptly stopped as soon as the hives appeared) V___V
It's nothing serious, but the itching is extreeeeemely distracting and I can barely focus on drawing, so progress has been slow.

So, Ep 1 took me 3 weeks (although I had a few errand days in between) But I reduced that by 5 days for Ep 2. Not that much LOL but it's an improvement. At least now I've got a workflow that speeds things up. My brain is SO obsessed with producing the episodes, it's all I ever think or talk about. But it's a great feeling to have :D
Anyways enough of rambling. I DO have things I want to talk about, but I don't want to spoil the episode too much so here's a sneak peek instead X)

Practice sketch of our soldier in his tighty whiteys. I usually draw very rough outlines for the bodies because they're wearing clothes anyway. But sketching out the entire body will produce a more accurate anatomy so I'm trying to get into the habit of doing that.
Also, I'm thinking he's slightly less bulky than Tora (or equal), but taller, around 6"3 - 6"4.

Some panels I've done so far. I think this watercolour style fits the story theme more than my usual one! So even though it's taking much more time, I'm adamant on using this style.

If you're following me on Instagram, you might know that I'm thinking of taking part in the Webtoon contest. I'm still undecided, but I'm making some sketches to test things out and see how fast I'm able to go :D
I'll make an official announcement sometime later, but for now here's a sketch I did of the main character. It's going to be a romance set in ancient China.

I feel like I've been neglecting my girl a lot XD Here are some conceptual sketches of Pops in possible future outfits. She's definitely not the feminine, demure sort, rofl. Come to think of it, It's funny how most MFCs aren't. At least, not for indie comics. I guess it makes them more relatable? (Me on the other hand - I am as comfortable in girly, feminine dresses as I am in minimalistic pantsuits :D)

#1 Just a heads up that I'll be changing the name Angeloz (the fictional country this world is set in), to Narin. For those curious about the change, Angeloz was just a placeholder name, and sounds too similar to Los Angeles (purely coincidental with no relation whatsoever) XD
Narin is a Mongolian word which means 'secret'. Nothing major, but it has to do with the history of the country :D
