Beauties, I just decided that the pre-launch page for the Black Roses Hotel V4 Kickstarter campaign will go live tomorrow, in around 24 hours from now.

My current plan is to launch the campaign on August 3rd.

I'm always a complete bundle of nerves when it comes to new campaigns, but I've never been as worried as I am about this project. That's why I'm hoping all of you will follow diligently, as a good number of followers will naturally help the project succeed.

Black Roses Hotel Joker

I have just sent the Black Roses Hotel V4 files to USPCC. According to them, the deck should be finished by the end of August. The last card I made changes to today was the Joker. Everything looks a lot cleaner now, hope you like it. And of course we're now a country club too :D

Since the Zero of Hearts card received the most votes in the poll, I decided to include this card in the deck. I am honestly surprised that the KD duplicate got the second most votes. A duplicate can be very use...

USPCC

Feel free to correct me if you see it differently, but I currently feel that USPCC decks are becoming increasingly rare on the custom playing card market, thanks to printers in Asia. It's possible that I have also contributed a little to this situation with my WJPC decks, but the whole situation gives me even more reason to print the Black Roses Hotel Playing Cards with USPCC again.

New Fulfillment Partner

UPDATE: The website is accessible again, but I have taken down all decks for the time being.

I had to close my website for the time being because Murphy's Magic is closing its fulfillment department. I was one of the first partners and quickly the only one, as the idea of the fulfillment department was not a profitable business for Murphy's.

I need your opinion

It's about the 2nd extra card in the Black Roses Hotel deck. Which one should it be? Multiple selection is possible. Maybe I'll think of more cards before I send them to print. But since I value your opinion, I would like to know what you prefer right now.

In the first and second Black Roses Hotel deck I added hotel related extra cards to the deck to fully exploit the hotel theme. A door hanger card in the first edition and a hotel room key card in the second edition. I often look back at my previous decks and wonder what made me design certain things the way I did. Holographic Gold Gilded Innocence

Playing Cards

In February, I was contacted by an artist who had found my picture "Creation of Palming" via Google. He asked me if he could use the picture for his album cover. I immediately said yes without giving it much thought because the way he asked was very polite. Sometimes it can be so simple.

A few thoughts on card printing

You will have noticed that more and more creators and companies are switching to Chinese printers. The reason for this is that the Chinese finally know what our standard of quality is and it is simply much cheaper than printing in the USA or Europe. Muuuch cheaper.

I am very aware that in terms of quality, there are still points where USPCC simply outweighs the competition. That, and the fact that many of you appreciate it, is the reason why I don't want to say goodbye to USPCC.
