The proton pack is now done and in the dropbox folders and attached are the files for the STLS. Both STL and CAD files are also in their respective Dropbox folders. Due to a build this big I have tried to detail what I can in the build notes but there is obviously some items that cannot be printed. I have included a DXF file, and a PDF version, of both a blank motherboard and the one I used for my build so you could either just cut one out of wood using the pattern or go to an laser cutting c...

So if you didn't see my post several days ago I mentioned that I started modeling the M41a pulse rifle from the Alien films. I have found several that have already been done along with airsoft ones that some people have sworn blind that they are 'screen accurate' but they really are not. The 3D printed ones have simplified the geometry way too blocky and the airsoft one just still dont have the details right, so I decided to do it myself. Above is my progress so far, as I have the 1928 thomps...

I've had a decent amount of time recently to get some models done and one is the Warhammer 40k Space Marine bolter above and the plasma pistol below, I would have made a nice render of it but SolidWorks is being a pain recently.

So attached are the files for the bolter with the BOM and assembly drawings. The files for the plasma pistol are also attached but these are only the STL's as I have on...

I have now finished the scaled pipboy so it's closer to game scale and it definitely looks better. The side console on the right side I have now hollowed so the switches and encoders can be placed in the housing and have enough space for some LED's and wiring. Below is a short list of the ones I've sized the consoles for;
5 x Mini rectangular rocker switch - roughly 15mm x 9 mm
1 x Micro Button Switch - Dims - 6mm x 6mm x 4.3
2 x Rotary Encoder EC11
With my build I was ...

As the title suggests, the Mechanist helmet is ready to download with both STL and CAD files available. The assembly drawing and BOM is in the zip files, along with a single piece version of the main body of the helmet as I know a few of you have big enough printers to print this thing basically in one.
With the release of Fallout 76 I'm now updating the Pipboy to the correct scale which is only +7% on my original dimensions. I'm also trying to fit micro switches (see below) and rotary encoder...

As the title suggests I have finally finished the Bioshock Infinite shotgun, it took a while to size and test the springs that everyone can just buy to complete this build without the need of anything special. Due to the number of parts and details that this prop has I have created a simplified version for printing on FDM printers and then a more detailed build that has all the scroll work as seperate pieces which can be printed on fine detail FDM or DLP printers. The files are separated by thei...

With the impending release of Fallout 76 and with playing every BETA window so far I have found that the few starter weapons are widely used by players and NPC's alike. So, I have decided to revisit some of my older models and complete a lot of the modifications so you can pick and choose what build you want. The pipe pistol above is just some of the mods available in game and I plan to do this for the 10mm pistol, laser pistol and a few other weapons.
The bioshock infinite shotgun is taking l...

Hello All,
For those who haven't seen my social media posts, I have begun printing and assembling the Bioshock Shotgun and am optimising what I thing needs improving as I go. I only have a few parts left and then I will be able to make the drawings and publish them
As Fallout 76 is almost upon us I have already pre loaded it and am now awaiting the 23rd. My plan is to play what I can with the time I have and then start modelling any of the new and interesting weapons that I find. If ther...

Even though it does look complete I'm currently working through the scroll work on the side of the receiver block and handle. After then working out the reload mechanism so it operates and cocks properly then I will be able to publish it. As a few of you have asked if there will be a few for it to accept and eject fake cartridges, this is all down to how big a replica cartridge is and if the whole assembly can be 3D printed. I would love for this to work as it would be perfect but obviously I ha...

Instead of chasing perfection with the lighting for the leviathan axe I have decided to let you guys have the model as is because I know some of you may already have better ideas than I to light this up. I will still be working on it and will produce a circuit diagram of what ever I come up with but at least you can get on with printing one and just have it without lights if needed.
The link below is to the dropbox folder and the STL's are in the models folder.

The above image is of the scroll work off the Leviathan axe that was printed on my Anycubic Photon. It is great to know that this detail is know achievable so I will take more time to add details like this into my models from now on as I know this level of detail is possible.
As for the lighting, the two different EL panels I ordered were not that good so I will be using normal LED's. I have ordered a set of xmas lights that should do the job and they will be delivered by next week. In the mea...

I use Dropbox to make sure I have access to all my models all the time but I sometimes turn off the sync so If I need to recover a file that I don't spam the max number of recoverable files. I worked on the leviathan axe in work and forgot to sync so when I got home I was looking at what I had already an this is something I forgot I was doing a while ago. Obviously it's a Proton pack and apart from some detailing pieces about 80% of the model is there, GO ME!. Knowing this, I will ai...

The detailing for the bottom of the axe is done, I have also figured out that theoretically the EL panels can be powered by AA or AAA batteries but the calculations I've tried to use to work out its 'on' time are a bit questionable so I'm just going to buy some and test them. I will print out the main axe head in the current way I would do it and then see what's possible from there.
For anybody that watched the quake con stream for Doom eternal, I am loving the new take with the super sh...

With the small amount time I've had recently due to building work I'm doing in my house I've still managed to slowly progress with the models. As you can see from the image above, I've done a lot of the upper detail on the leviathan axe so I will just need to finish the last details on that and I can that do the bottom details.

Sup all!!, As you can tell from the title, the detailing on the Leviathan axe is just taking time but once I quickly rendered the above image I thought "damn thats looking good". I've been doing some researching for EL panels that could be sandwiched into the axe head so it can glow like it does in game. The only problem I've found is the battery packs are huge, so will have to do some more research on how many panels I need and how big of a battery pack that would take to power everything and s...

Some of the buttons and other assorted parts for the Pipboy I've ordered have turned up and I've started figuring out placement and what can work with the space I have. Some parts like rotary switches were just too big so I'll have to keep searching but some parts like the toggle switches were almost perfect and only need a small modification.

After a very long weekend I have now finished all the drawings that I think will help the build of this model along with the BOM and parts I bought off eBay. I have also added a dxf of the two main leather vambrace patterns as a few people who have laser cutters can just scale and use this to cut it out.
I have uploaded the STL's to dropbox so you can now download and print your own pipboy. Here is the link to the models folder - 2018-07-02 09:50:27 +0000 UTC

I have now got to a position that I'm confident that the basic model is done. I have just finished the buckle assembly which works well (shown below) and as game accurate as I could get along with sources most parts needed to create it.

The last thing to do to complete it so far is to do the cut out pattern for the leather forearm grip. I have an idea of how I just need to start det...

For the general modelling of the pipboy, its basically complete for the main body. I have started printing the parts and will be making adjustments as I go. I will now start working on the leather brace and catch, my plan is to produce a flat pattern and cutting layout of the parts needed so any of you can reproduce it by just cutting the parts out and glue or sew the parts together.
For the tape deck mechanism, currently my plan is to have it stationary until I see it working from the B...

Hello all. I have seen recently how my work has been past round more and more by people in the fallout community and with my other props as well and not to sound big headed but I think a lot of people are taken the time I've taken to create these games for granted. With that in mind, I have now removed a bunch of my good fallout models from MyMiniFactory like the power armour helmets and many of the weapons (17 models in total) so they are now Patreon exclusive. All these models are now in the D...

Just a quick update, loads of small details have changed and I have now ordered a the grill types and fasteners for the build. For anyone wanting to use real vacuum tubes, I found that the diameter for these tubes for the build would need to be roughly 11mm which I found is quite small for vacuum tubes. If anyone has any knowledge of any at this size you can just order please say as otherwise you would have to make replicas of them which is the path I'm currently choosing.
Additionally, ...

If, like me, you've been bombarded with social media post and pre-order emails already then you would know that Fallout 76 was announced yesterday. After having lots of fun playing the new GoW game I'm going to attempt the Leviathan axe. I say attempt because there is a hell of a lot of scroll work and detailing on the axe and some artistic licence will have to be used to simply it for 3D printing. The photo mode really does help as there are really fine details but even with photo mode some details just blur. Anyway, above is where I was after about an hour.
The skyrim steel axe drawing and BOM is now with the rest of the files so ...

I should have it done and ready for you guys in a couple days. The colour is supposed to be orange but I think the lighting didn't agree with the camera.
Here's another image in blue and it seems a lot brighter but it was the same brightness.
