Thank you for the feedback and comments on the latest Random Arma Bullshittery (part 10) folks. That's gone live on Monday and it appears to have been well received.
It turns out I'd made a few minor grammatical whoopsies and ended up duplicating an audio layer which deafened a few headphone users. Patrons/Twitch subs spotted them and I was able to quickly fix before lau...

Thank you kindly for your support everyone. It's very much appreciated. I'll leave that link up for the weekend and put it public at the start of next week.

Good evening folks. Super brief update.
I was hoping to have this video finished now it's the other side of the weekend. But my editing efficiency last week wasn't that great. And I ended up falling behind quite a bit.
The reason is mostly because the artists that I'm commissioning for the Dungeons & Dragons bullshittery requested lots of feedback and instructions by email. Which ended up consuming quite a few hours of the week - as work emails tend t...

Good evening everyone. So it's currently the start of the third week (I think?) on this particular part of Random Arma Bullshittery (part 10). And thus far things are going swimmingly.
I found myself a bit bored of streaming at the end of last week. Meaning I spent lots of extra time on editing and just belted through it. It's now about 9 minutes and 20 seconds edited out of 10 minutes and 30 seconds. It was originally 12 minut...

Good evening folks. I hope you're all having a smooth week.
So with the first part of the Arma bullshittery finished and on Youtube I've since been working on next piece for you - part 2/5. And so far the editing has been proceeding as expected with no big problems.
Just like the first part it should be around 10-12 minutes long and I've completed approximately 3 minutes so far. The timeline for those curious: h2019-06-13 19:12:45 +0000 UTC

Good evening folks. Apologies, I was hoping to have the quality assurance process finished by the end of last week. But things ended up running longer than expected.
But the first piece, one of five, of the next Arma Bullshittery can be found here if you're interested - https://youtu.be/59EjwdMYnTo
So by Friday last week I found I'd cut slightly too much in the QA. A few scen...

So it's the start of week 6 on this big ol' Arma 3 Antistasi project. And I'm almost done with the first piece of it. Part 1 of 5 is just entering the Quality Assurance phase this afternoon,
So last week I was able to reach approximately 9 minutes out of 10 for the text and the animations. This involves the creation and keyframing of lots of "Null Objects" in Adobe After Effects. Invisible squares that dictate where and how the text moves. The keyframing for those invis...

Just to quickly touch bases with you guys/gals concerning progress this week:
- On Monday and a bit of Tuesday I was able to roughly arrange 3 of the 5 expected bullshitteries. The timeline looks like this. I'll likely dedicate each subsequent Monday purely to structure (ie. moving clips between videos so that they flow sensibly). That's easy to do in Adobe Premiere. I'm glad I ...

Right, so sickness aside. What I've been trying to do since the last update is provide an answer to the question "how large is this bullshittery?" And then determine if it should be one episode, or split into several.
And I thought the best way to do that would be to jump straight into normal cutting as though making any regular bullshittery. Taking the highlights and editing them to the bullshittery pace, removing everything that's not part of the joke, and then presenting the...

Greetings folks, I hope you're all well. I'm afraid this last week has been something of a nightmare for me.
Whilst the prior week went to plan and I continued trying to assemble a bullshittery from the clips, it turned out I'd need at least Monday and Tuesday of this week to finish the overall structure. However on Monday life had other plans before I could bring you an update.
I went down wi...

So it's been roughly a week since the last update, during which I've been scrubbing through the available Arma 3 Antistasi streams (that started April 30th) to try and determine if there's enough clips to make a bullshittery compilation along with a somewhat coherent structure, showing a resistance group.
I can report that the answer is a resounding yes. There's more than enough here to make a full antistasi bullshittery and I can begin immediately.

Good evening everybody. Sorry, I was supposed to post this yesterday but one thing got on top of another.

I've taken the liberty of transferring over the master pr...

I've finished that quick Blade & Sorcery gag.
You know how you lot kept calling me a psychopath during the VR live-streams? Well I ran with it for laughs. Meet "The Dancing Lich" - an undead who just loves to get his groove on.
This was great fun to work on. In the latest game patch, Blade and Sorcery added grab points for arms and legs And my idea was to make a video

Thank you very much for taking part in the prior poll everyone. It helps me determine where demand is. It appears that Arma is currently cruising near the top. I shall certainly have a look through the footage and see what I can do. The Antistasi games are still ongoing, but that doesn't mean I can't make a start and begin nesting the footage so I know what I have, right?
Prior to that though, I...

Greetings folks. Welcome to your Monday. Hope it's all going smoothly wherever you are. And that you've had a nice weekend.
So the Gang Beasts video turned out really well. Pleased that was the case. Now it's time to start the next project. What I'm currently doing is sifting through the 7-8 hard drives I have in order to build up a picture of what footage is available for editing. And then by the end of the day I should be able to make a follow up post, asking for your...

Good evening everyone. It's the start of the 4th week of work on the latest bullshittery and everything is going well. I've completed 12 minutes and 27 seconds out of the 15 minutes duration. Before the end of the week (probably Thursday or late Wednesday) I'll have reached the end and will begin the quality assurance work. Polishing what I've done.
I just wanted to talk about an element of the editing process that some people might find interesting. Specifically ho...

Good evening everyone, I hope you're having a lovely start to your week. So the third week of work on the latest bullshittery is progressing...though with some hiccups.
Insofar as targets are concerned, by this point in time I'm expected to have reached the 8th or 9th minute of editing the text and animations. What with average work speed of 50-60 seconds of footage a day (which is about 10-15 After Effects compositions, depending on complexity.)
Alas I'm ...

Greetings my dear Patrons. I hope you've all had a lovely weekend.
Thanks for the responses to the post concerning Gang Beasts. It appears that opinion was heavily in flavor of continuing the cutting and editing for Random Gang Beasts Bullshittery. Therefore progress on that continued and work has been great. I've spent about 6 working days so far and here's where I am:

Good evening folks. I hope you're having a lovely week.
So it's the start of the next project and I'm making a start on what I hope will be the next bullshittery, trying to determine what I have to work with by scrubbing through the raw stream footage for the last couple of days. And I'm currently having a look at a fighting game called Gang Beasts. Myself, Cyanide, Edberg and FrankieOnPc played it a couple of years ago.
I'm quite excited actually, as this was foo...

Good evening and happy Friday folks. Welcome to your weekend. It's the end of the 4th week of work on the latest Youtube project. Therefore it's tools down time in order to present what I've done so far.

The second week of work has gone well folks. I've managed to record and cut the audio for almost all of this piece of the video-essay. There are still some bits of wobbly audio here and there, but I can replace those as I go and edit the visuals.
Oh, though I admit I seem to be having trouble with the final two paragraphs. It's gone through 2-3 re-writes and I can't seem to get it sounding right. I'll work on that.
I'm almost certainly going to do what I mentioned b...

Good evening folks. Hope you've had a lovely weekend.
Thanks for participating in the poll from the start of the week. It helps gauge where general opinion is and helps me avoid potential missteps when it comes to starting projects. So, next question. Insofar as the next project is concerned, how much desire is there for another DayZ video-essay piece?
Here's my thinking:
- a.) with two bullshitteries done previously, it's nice to mix things up. Helps rest the brain from all the keyframing.
- b.) I'm fairly close to the conclusion of the project as a whole. It needs to move along now, it's been too damn long.
- c.) Having been playing DayZ w...

Sorry there's quite a bit of movement insofar as this DayZ Standalone server is concerned. The clan have now installed some mods, which requires the use of a small launcher.
For those wishing to play DayZ with us:
- Download and install the "DZSA Launcher".
- Open the launcher and go to the Settings in the top right. Make sure the DayZ Standalone Path points to where you have the game installed.
- Search for the Lusty Gusset server and try to jo...

Sorry, quick update on the ZF clan DayZ server.
We had to make a fresh one I'm afraid. My sincere apologies to all those with progress in the form of tents, equipment, etc. We had this problem where the server tick was set too fast and it meant that vehicles would spazz out and explode when driven. And since base-building materials are only feasibly transported using cars, nobody could actually build the bases.
Furthermore the admin hosting the server travels a lo...

Just to get you know that myself and some other ZF members were poking The DayZ Standalone 1.0 version, now that it's remade in the Enfusion Engine. We were hoping to build a base and engage in old DayZ-style shenanigans.

We were discussing whether it was wise to make it ...

The new Patreon password is - "Harbour".
For those not familiar, during some of the single-player livestreams for things like Rimworld, Stellaris, X-Com, Warhammer, etc, I've found that it is quite fun to rename the in-game characters after the Patrons and Twitch subs watching. It adds a fun bit of personalisation to the goings on within each game.
With Twitch subscribers it's easy to identify them, because they have a little star icon in the chat. But for Patrons...
