Hey there everyone. Sorry, I was really supposed to do this update earlier in the week but I kept getting sidetracked.
So it's the end of week 6 on the latest Youtube video, which is Random Rising Storm: Vietnam Bullshittery (part 1) and it's creeping closer to completion. The video is 10 minutes long and consists of about 35 scenes arranged on the following timeline screenshotted...

Good evening everyone. I hope you've all had a lovely Christmas. Full of prezzies, good food and good company. I was most certainly slipping in and out of food comas on Christmas Day itself.
Alas, I feel like I'm full of excuses in this update sadly. It's the end of week 4 on the latest bullshittery and I'm not as far through as I'd hoped.
The reasons are easy to pinpoint. Week 1 & 2 were consumed with pre-production tasks instead of editing proper. Week...

Good evening patrons. It's the end of editing day 11 on the latest bullshittery and I can say that the pre-production work is complete. I'm sorry it took so long.
It was similar to Pavlov in many ways. In that I had vagueish notes of where the highlight moments were in the various streams, but had to pull them out and arrange them properly in nested timelines in order to figure out what there was to use. Each project has a sort of "master" Adobe Premiere proj...

Thanks very much for taking part in the poll at the end of last week folks. And to those who sent me emails over the last few days. Your feedback is very much appreciated. It seems that a lot of people agree with my suggestion to add in some lesser-known titles, rather than let the funny highlights stockpile.
So it appears that of the two choices, Rising Storm: Vietnam is the majority preference. Cue a...

So, here's what's on my mind.
Last month I posted that poll to determine where opinions might lie, and the results were as follows - which was my reasoning for selecting Pavlov VR as the next episode.
But my fear is that if I keep doing the popular ones, the bullshitteries for the lesser known games will never get made...

Good evening folks. So this is one update 1 of 2. I figured I'd split them up so it's not present one gigantic wall of text.
I'm pleased that Random Pavlov bullshittery last week was so well received. And thanks for supporting me and letting me make it, I had fun with that one. I've actually managed to complete a bit more pre-production efforts for parts 2 and 3. Which means that the editing for those episodes ...

Aaaaaaand all done folks. The latest bullshittery is ready for your viewing and can be found here. Random Pavlov Bullshittery - https://youtu.be/p6dw54nQclI
So this is my first VR video and it wasn't as difficult as I was expecting it to be. Though I definitely need to perform a hardware upgrade. As I found myself limited in a zooming capacity due to the lower resolution. The Vive is pretty sys...

Good evening folks. So it's the middle of the 4th week of work on Random Pavlov Bullshittery part 1 (roughly work day number 18) and everything is going as expected. Thus far I've reached the 5 minute and 50 second mark out of the ten minute edit. And I'm working to get the second half complete as soon as I can.
At my current rate, by the end of this week I should be on the 7th to 8th minute. And by the end of the next week I should have entered the quality as...

Sorry I was supposed to this update earlier this week, but I always found there was one last task to complete first.
So it's the end of the second week of work on Random Pavlov Bullshittery (part 1). And alas, I've found that what could be considered "pre-production" has taken quite a lot longer for a VR title.
In other games the presence of HUD elements and scoreboards make it very easy to scrub through to find the relevant funny moments, jotted down as notes o...

Thank you very much for your input in the poll earlier in the week. Some unexpected popular ones there. Thanks for participating.
I'm pleased to see that Holdfast and Divinity are both quite popular. Their recent showings in various streams have likely helped in that regard. I have however decided to go with Pavlov if that's okay? For those who are unfamiliar, it's bas...

Good evening folks and welcome to another week. Now that that piece of the DayZ video-essay is out of the way it's time it's time to begin the next project. And today I've been going through the hard drives to determine what's available.

Whew, blimey. Finally done with the latest video. Sorry for the 6 week editing effort there. This one proved to be quite difficult - https://youtu.be/a8FiLrCdGnI
So I've finished the first chunk of the 10th segment of the DayZ Critique. Truth be told it's more like part 10 of 12. With parts 10.2 and 10.3 being 11 and 12 if I were counting properly. I didn't expect my research to branch off into three di...

Good evening folks. A bit of a straightforward update this evening.
The editing on the next video, part 10 of the DayZ Standalone video critique, is going smoothly and there aren't really any big problems. Everything is going as planned, thankfully.
Last week I had finished about 5 minutes of the 24 minute total. This week I've managed to reach just over 15 minutes, with about 9 minutes left.

Please forgive me, I'm afraid my work efficiency insofar as Youtube editing is concerned hasn't been on top form this week. Owing to the fact that I've been feeling quite weak due to a change in diet. I've been trying to cut out sugar and caffeine and blimey does that adjustment hit you harder than you'd expect. I've been sleeping like a brick. Regardless, an update on the latest Youtube video.
So its the third week of work on part 10 of the DayZ Standalone video critique

An update for you all, my dear viewers.
I'm continuing to work on this latest video of mine in the form of the 10th and final chapter of this DayZ Standalone video critique. Thank you for letting me do this, it's something of a passion project.
And I'm all finished with my pre-production and have since moved onto writing the script as of last Wednesday.
I reckon I'm about halfway through. And good lord, my expectations about ...

Good evening there dear Patrons. I hope you're all well. An update on the next Youtube video for those interested.
So with PUBG bullshittery out of the way on Thursday I've been free to begin the next project. And since that's now 3.5 bullshitteries in a row I was rather hoping to take another good stab at my long-term side project - the DayZ Critique.
I'm hoping to script, record and edit the 10th and final chapter. And either complete the whol...

Very nearly done. The episode is more or less fully edited and quality assured, save for some bits of (pretty optional) Foley I'm sticking in just for the fun of it.
I'm currently talking to an artist about tweaking some commissioned artwork. But I don't imagine it'll take too long. Final stretch now. Whilst I was doing the foley however, I noticed an opportunity for some fan participation...

Good afternoon folks. So it's week 4 on the latest bullshittery and it's almost finished. I'm currently on the quality-assurance stages to try and polish and fix things for you. It won't be too long now.
I'm also waiting on a couple of commissioned artwork pieces to replace my temporary scribbles that are currently in the render. I've recruited the aid of an artist I've used a number of times before. They've made a lot of my icons and sub notifications on Twitch itsel...

Alas, I'm afraid this is another one of those updates where there's not a great deal of news. Since everything is progressing on time and as expect. Which is much better than everything being on fire, naturally. But it makes for a rather boring update.
So it's the end of work day 11. And it takes me approximately 20 working days to produce a ten minute video. Therefore I should be just over the halfway mark, which I am at 6 minutes and 20 seco...

Apologies, I was supposed to do this update on Monday...but I suck.
So, with the Star Wars Rebellion footage set to one side last Wednesday, at the end of last week I set about reviewing the existing PUBG recordings. And I've come to the same conclusion as before - I have a huge amount of footage for that game.
Each ten minute bullshittery has an average of 30-40 clips. And it appears that I have at least 200 clips of PUBG. That's a rather large...

So yesterday, with the Holdfast gag finished, I sat down to have a look at some of my recent stream footage and played with another idea for a video. This isn't for right this moment, but for at some point in the future.
Over the last weekend I streamed a game called Star Wars Rebellion (1998). In which I played as The Galactic Empire attempting to defeat The Rebel Alliance, set just after the first Star Wars...

All finished with the side project - https://youtu.be/5Lqnjmxh76w
So this was just an extra thing, mostly edited last week, after the nesting work that identified the bullshittery highlights from the week before. And its just to shine a comedic spotlight on the juxtaposition between how Holdfast Nations at War is presented and how its audience actually plays. Which is to say, with lot of memes.
Let me k...

Apologies, I was totally meant to do this update last Friday evening.
Wanted to let you all know that last week's "nesting" process went quite well. I've gone through the 16 hours worth of unprocessed stream footage and cut out about 1 hours worth of useful comedy. From there I'd be able to trim the gaps to produce about 30 minutes worth. And by selecting the best bits I'll likely have enough for two future Holdfast bullshittery episodes at 10 minutes each. This footage will n...

Good morning dear Patrons!
I'm back and feeling refreshed after taking a short break last week. In which I played lots of Space Engineers with the ZF guys and generally didn't think about work at all. After such a grueling editing effort on Arma, I really needed that.
Now, time to get back on the horse.
While my first choice now would be to do the final chapter of the DayZ video essay, in which I break down the nature of Agile development, it is worth noti...

Just to briefly say thank you! Thus far, I've gotten about 23 volunteers, providing a whole bunch of different voice recordings, to go through and sample for the aforementioned intro/outro for the latest bullshittery
What I'm currently doing is saving them in a folder, to be placed on the timeline and reviewed later. If you'd like to do a line reading there's still plenty of time. I'll give it at least anothe...

Right, I reckon I've got the intro and outro sorted now. I've finalized the script and put in some temporary voice-work for the moment. Some of the specific text elements (dates, share prices, etc) still need to be put in to sell the illusion. But I'll finish that properly once I know which journalists are voicing which scene
So then, is anybody interested in pretending to be a journalist?

Apologies for the delayed update. I was supposed to do one at the end of last week.
So it's the 9th week of work (bloody hell) on the latest video. And it's so nearly complete. Frustratingly so. It's really just a handful of things left to do, but they're naturally the most complicated parts. Requiring art-assets/voice work that I cannot produce on my own. I plan to focus on trying to get these this week in order to try and have the video for you by the weekend. Thank you for being so...

This isn't really a proper update, so I'm somewhat reluctant to mention it. But I more just wanted to tell people what I was doing on the weekend.
I had a sit down and penned a draft outline for yet another video-essay to be completed one day (tm). Though I know, cart before the horse. Since I've been thus far unable to finish even the first one.
This one was prompted by the recent completion of Divinity II: Original Sin, which I was thoroughly...
