Apologies, I was really supposed to post this on Friday evening.

URGENT - I think Strawpoll might be choking. Instead I'm used Patreon's own poll system and have made a replacement here. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Good afternoon folks. So after a short break, it's time to think about the next Youtube edit.
I made a bit of a whoopsie and was going around s...

A proper follow up post for last nights bullshittery episode. Hi there folks :)
So this last week has been one hell of a mountain to climb. As though the editing gods were punishing me for saying that Source Filmmaker was "surprisingly easy". For the program decided it was going to make the quality assurance process as painful as possible.

The troubles began when I went t...

Good evening everyone. Just a very quick post as it's approaching midnight here in the UK.
I think I've finished the latest bullshittery and there's a final test render here for the Patrons who fancy it?
It's technically not the final final, as I can see a few small things I want to tweak. Notable bits of audio. But beyond that it should be ready for viewing. Let me know what you think. Any and ...

Good evening folks. And welcome to the weekend. Hope you're all smashing.
So it's editing day 35 of 35 on Team Fortress bullshittery. And I'm sorry to report that I wasn't able to complete it in the expected time. Sorry folks :(
It's near complete, but still in the quality assurance phase, in which tweaks are being made across the timeline. Here is a shot of it. The audio corrections remain unfinished at the end because they need some animation work finished first...

Good evening everyone. And a late Merry Christmas! Hope you've all had a lovely one :)
So it's the start of week 6 (of 7) on this behemoth of a bullshittery. And here's how things are going.
For the last week I've been working on animation 7/7, which makes up the closing gag of this episode. It's more or less dominated the 5th week. I've even been streaming some of that effort unde...

Good evening everybody. Hope you're doing well. Another week and another update.
So it's editing day 21 of a probable 35 on Team Fortress Bullshittery (part 1). And editing so far is going great.
- The full episode is cut and all the scenes are in their final positions.
- All text and keyframing is complete. Though it's all waiting QA.
- 6/7 Source Filmmaker cutaway gags are animated. Though all of them need some touch ups....

Good evening everyone. Here's another update on progress for Team Fortress 2 bullshittery.
It's editing day 16 of a scheduled 35 days. And I've successfully added most of the text and keyframing work. The current task is to start adding the custom-made Source Filmmaker animations that serve as cutaway gags for the episode, ahead of the quality assurance to polish the whole thing.
Here's a shot of the timeline in Adobe Premiere:

Good evening folks. Welcome to the weekend. Here's another update on Random Team Fortress 2 Bullshittery (part 1).
It's the end of day 10 of an expected 35. And I should be be around the 5:00 mark for the text and animation keyframing. I've reached 5:15, so I'm slightly ahead of schedule. The plan now is to complete 5 to 10 minutes next week (week 3). Then dive into the Source Filmmaker work the week after (week 4).

Good evening folks. Hope you're all having a great weekend.
As the suggestion of starting Team Fortress 2 was received positively, I decided to dive straight into editing for Random Team Fortress 2 Bullshittery (part 1) from last Monday.
Here's an update on progress so far:
I'm currently into editing day 5 of a probable 35 (a high ball estim...

Good evening everyone. Happy Friday to you all.
So I've had about 12 days on the TF2 pre-production work. And I'm pleased to report that I've pretty much finished it. The master project file is ready to go in Adobe Premiere.
This process is fairly normal at the start of any given game. What made this a little different is the large number of streams and the relatively high joke density. But the good news is I've managed to turn 52 streams into abo...

Good evening folks. Just a quick update for the end of the week.
I've had about 8 days going through the Team Fortress 2 streams. And things are going smoothly. There are 51 streams in total and I've nested 35 of them. Drawing out about 240 clips in total.
Obviously that's very good. Confirming that future TF2 bullshitteries are very viable. Probably involving 40-50 clips per episode.
Formula wise, it is very Rocket League'ish. In the sense that the...

Good evening folks. I hope you're having a smooth start to your week. Another editing update.
Last post I mentioned that I was going to spend some time doing that D&D cartoon. I had three tasks in mind:
- Queue some character work for the commissioned artist (characters 8 and 9).
- Use the graphics tablet to make some tweaks to final backgrounds/final puppets already animated.
- Add lots of final sound effects and ambience to replace the temp track.

Good afternoon folks. I hope you're having a nice weekend.
So over here, having finished that last bullshittery, I took a short weekend break before arriving in the midweek wondering what to edit next. Entirely accidently, I fell into some tinkering on that ancient Dungeons and Dragons bullshittery project.
If it's alright, I'd like to just keep messing with it for the moment? Making some progress whilst I'm sufficient enthused? I don't know if this is going to be...

Good morning folks. So I think I've finished the latest Divinity bullshittery. I've made a test render and it's available here for those interested. So this is the continuation straight off the back of part 1, in which the party continue to explore Fort Joy. Fumbling for a way out of the camp.

Good evening everyone, hope you're having a smooth week. So it's near the end of the third week of work on Divinity Bullshittery part 2 and I've managed to get to the end of the keyframing and animating. About to start the quality-assurance test renders.

Good evening folks. Another update on progress for the part 2 of Divinity.
It's the mid point of the second week of work. And I've managed to reach the 4th minute out of 10-12 ish. Here's a quick screenshot of the timeline so far:

Thus far it's been the usual case of moving each scene into Adobe After Effects. Keyframing and experimenting with the text to make it playful on screen. No maj...

Thank you very much for taking part in the poll everyone. So it seems that most people want to see what happens next in Divinity II. I've already made a good start on it.
I'm also chuffed to see that opinions are quite diverse, rather than being stacked in one overwhelming direction. Variety as an editor is really helpful. It helps counter the burnout. So thank you.
So Divinity II...

Good afternoon everyone.
After completing the Onward bullshittery, I took the week off to recharge the mental batteries. I'm feeling energised and eager to start the next project :)
I do have some video-essay ideas floating around. But they're not quite mature yet. And it's probably wise to do another bullshittery, as I did promise that I would do multiple.
As Onward was my choice, the next one gets to be selected by the Patrons and Twitch s...

Sorry folks, an almost absurdly short update.
There's not really much to report beyond everything going smoothly. And the editing is on schedule for a completion by Friday next week.
I've managed to reach about 9 minutes and 20 seconds keyframed out of about 12 minutes and 50 seconds. I should get through that by the end of this week, allowing next week for the polish and the overall quality assurance.

Hope you're having a lovely start to the week folks. Random Onward Bullshittery is on about 4 minutes complete of 10. No problems thus far and everything is going smoothly. Bit of a boring update, I'm afraid.
I'm making a fairly normal pace of about 1 minute of keyframing per day. Not many surprises through the editing, everything is proceeding as normal.
It is haaaard keyframing though. This project isn't pulling any punches. Owing to two challenges that...

Good evening folks. Another quickie update!
The nesting process this week went very well. Despite being a bit ill with a vaccine fever in the mid-week, the light nature of the "nesting" process meant my work was unaffected.
I now have about 77 highlights drawn from about 17 hours of stream footage. For context, there's usually about 30-40 clips in your typical bullshittery compilation.
Annoyingly, the nature of VR means that it's difficult to find your desk,...

But with that out of the way, I'm eager to get started with the next project. Which is to be another bullshittery. Since you guys have been so very patient with me on all the video-essay pet projects. Thank you for being so.
Since Divinity was the choice on the last poll, this one gets to...

Hey there folks. Another update. Very nearly done! Of the three major components remaining:
- Cinematic 1/2 - Animation was mildly blocked, but about to begin in earnest.
- Cinematic 2/2 - Complete! (with the exception of some particle effects)
- Extra ending scenes - Complete!
So the last remaining section to edit is Cinematic 1/2. I have all the scenes I need, courtesy of BewBewDingo. And...

Just another short update on the cinematic animations. Some people said they found the previous behind-the-scene gifs interesting. Happy to provide a few more!
So the second cinematic, just before the title sequence, involves the camera moving from an underwater perspective, to back above the water, before a fade to black, as the bullshittery continues. To create this, I've employing a few simple tricks with parallax. Using the animation assets provided by the commissioned arti...
