I can feel the concept of time melting away but here we are with another month O(-< Bunch of life stuff happening in the background this past few days. I’ve been figuring out my PC/laptop set up and hopefully i can get that done by next month which could mean a more streamlined way i go with streaming. I would like to get into doing art streams again so I’m manifesting it for the coming month!

I'm still alive!! I know I'm still under a quasi-hiatus on this page but I think it's nice to keep the life/work updates here!
Currently, I'm figuring out how to balance freelance on top of full-time but I do want to get back to updating this page regularly again! Recorded a sketch and good thing I *almost* forgot to record I started recording almost half-way done my first pass. I'm happy to only do two sketch passes this time! First getting the shapes right and then the second tying all those shapes down! I wanted to change the design up a bit while keeping the original elements. It's a nice exercise!
I also like to thank vector layers once again for saving me from wobbly lines haha.

Captured my rough process this time! Decided to keep the duration to 60 seconds because the original video is like 15 minutes long lmao. I really underestimate the effort it takes to make a clear and sound rough animation and this was something that took a bunch of hours. I am, however, more aware of spacing now but I could use more work in making shapes clear!

I think mage girl and faerie guy's design are more or less good! I think I finally found a nice collar shape for mage girl that doesn't look too flat. I need to thin out some proportions on her though.
I've been thinking about a short comic for the longest time now but I've been on and off in figuring out what on sort of one-shot story I wanna convey.

I'll be swamped with work this month but I've been trying to squeeze in some personal sketching here and there to keep my sanity together haha! I feel like I've been drawing the same kind of things so I try my darnest to break away from that through sketch pages. I wish I had the patience to do more painterly rendering, though so who knows!

With the release of my CSP brushes. I looked inward a bit on how I go about using my inking brushes. I couldn't really describe how I tackle my shapes but I noticed that I tend to limit my lines from being too close to each other as the look of this sort of brush comes off as strong.

Was actually curious if the new update n CSP could also record the animation process and IT CAN so I'm posting this vid I recorded while trying to animate with vector layers! I've actually hit a lot of birds with one stone with this as I wanted to try out correction tools, vector, layering, and camera (and also going for a more anime-esque process in animating).

My first process vid that wasn't exported through the iPad (and also the reason why I haven't been posting WIP/process videos). Looking forward to that CSP update which allows canvas recording!
What's neat about this kind (recording from my computer) is that you get to see my dizzying lining process where I would rotate my canvas a lot to get the lines I want. I kinda skipped recording the sketch phase bit, but this is more or less how I go with my pieces.

A wip for a drawing and some sketches. I'll try to record my inking process for the first image since I'm not working on Artstudio Pro nor Procreate anymore, I may need to manually stitch together the video. Also I suppose to also capture the many times I zoom in and rotate my canvas to get the lines I want.
