I have learned the hard way I strongly dislike working on comics on my iPad. Works great for illustrations but comic pages I find take forever with zoom in, zoom out and the small work space. As I’m used to working on my 22 cintiq for comics.

Which I know sounds super fickle as I used to draw everything traditionally on 11x17 paper before. Oh how my cintiq has changed me ;P

Move Update

Hey,
our move has gone mostly uneventful. I was terrified as I was traveling with my cats ashes and documentation you need is sparce online but it wasn't a problem.

I forgot my ipad pro on the plane, we reported it to lost and found but Frankfurt airport and Lufthansa don't seem to have the best rep online about returning items left on the plane.
It's my fault and I needed it to work while I don't have a computer to work on.

InkWash Commission Susza

This was a ink wash for Mulefoot of their character Susza.
This was experimental commission as I wanted to play around and see how it would turn out.
I actually quite like it a lot.

The big move

Hey,
As some of you know I was moving to Germany but an emergecy surgery, complications from said surgery and then covid prevented us by 2 years.
So when this posts I'll be recovering from jet-lag or on our way to our new place and then trying to set up things like internet, etc.

August Sketch

The gruff schnauzer character named Cletus for C.F Becker.
There isn't nearly enough scruffy and wire haired dog characters around. This was super fun to draw.

Coyote tile

In august I had to house sit and take care of my brothers elderly cat for a week so I brought my ipad, watercolours and coloured pencils.
I have never used this Stonehenge paper with coloured pencils before, results are okay. It couldn't take that much layering despite being hot press watercolour paper.
I might try it again or try watercolour pencils too but otherwise I'll reserve this paper to gouache/watercolour only.

So this got really delayed, I was working on it when Tora died and I just couldn't focus. It wasn't a lack of interest it was just I would stare into space for hours at a time and then realize I was doing that for half a day.
I'm not saying I'm okay now but I'm able to work and I want to work.

This will be public on Tuesday on webtoons and tapas.

Leaf Thief coloured pencil

Done in watercolour and coloured pencil on 9X12 hot press paper.

I was much happier with this than the calico cat as the pencils laid down much much easier than on the illustration board.

This is Rass the Nile Monitor Lizard done for Mulefoot.
She was quite fun to draw :D

Ocelot coloured pencil

So I actually finished this a month or so ago, time and space warp around and I have no concept of it.  
I'm just super lazy on scanning and I really hate scanning toned tan paper.
This was primarily done with Derwent drawing and Derwent lightfast pencils on 11X17 strathmore toned paper.
When I was finished I realized I was really bored with toned paper again so it's why I've switched to other paper.
