So I need artwork for when I start posting comic pages here on Patreon as Patreon doesn't generate a preview and the retweeting of patreon posts on twitter always look like crap so I wanted to make two banners I rotate.

DenFur WIP

There will be a cathedral or castle in behind the stone archway.
I didn't work last weekend because Kojote and I got married (super small, super casual but just how we wanted it) then on Monday I had a root canal.  So I'm trying to make up for lost time.

I'll be starting to post Synthetic Instinct soon too I just want the rule of one page get posted the next page is near finished.  With our crossing the pond move happening soon I am juggling a lot.

DenFur WIP

I'll be painting the background now, I plan on that being a lot of warm colours. Then I'll tint the figures so they look more uniformed/in the same image.

I actually will be starting to post Synthetic Instinct comic pages as I work in the evening on that but I want to get a little further on future pages before I post finished ones. So soon, maybe this week?

DenFur Inks

I had so many issues with getting to this point. So last two weeks I've been dedicating few hours each day to inking, then I some how lost my pencils layer, started to re-pencil the details of the crowd... then ended up finding it on an older version of the files.

I'm going to hand the flatting over to my husbean so I can start painting the background.
I want this done like asap.

But that kitten in the crowd is like my cat Tatya and is truly adorable.

News

So I made some changes to the Patreon, I'm hoping I can start posting comic pages here soon-ish. I don't plan on releasing Synthetic Instinct publicly online till after the New Year and I'll have enough in the backlog of Infinite Scroll/Canvas formatted pages.

I'll post the printed format of comic pages on Patreon in an irregular schedule. I work on it in the evenings after paid work during the day so I post them as I finish them type deal.

Synthetic Instinct Banner

So yesterday I needed to get back into the swing of painting/inking because last week I only sketched. So I made this because my banner on twitter and Patreon were older art, I didn't like looking at them and I want something related to my comic Synthetic Instinct.

I'll be posting some character sheets soon, mind you they are months old and boring.
I'm also slowly revamping this patreon to be more focused on comic access.

October Monthly Sketch

Dark Kuroro as a zombie, which is totally fun I have such a mad love for drawing undead characters.
I hope everyone had a great Halloween, we carved pumpkins had a friend stay with us for the week and had crazy good food. Halloween will always be my favourite holiday because do as little, do as much as you want..... and evil is fun. :D

Fan Art

It was a long weekend here in Canaduh so I goofed around with transformer fan art.  I am trying to make my backgrounds maximum of 3 or so colours.
I like using fan art to push myself because I feel no pressure about if it turns out or not as it's done for straight up fun of making art.

I wanted to draw Sixshot but he's a more obscure character from a Japanese series, my husbean requested me to draw Beast Wars Megatron in a hot tub with a martini which is incredible in character...

denfur wip

So I'm working on the denfur banner as I'm one of the GOH's next year.. I wanted to be further along on this but my parents cat Holly got sick, had to have surgery, we will know how her recovery is tomorrow morning.

I'll start penciling the crowds tomorrow, the buildings might not need any refining in line art as I'll be painting them and doing this cell shaded as I find that style can be resized and not loose anything easily.

Upcoming Comic

So here is some of the work from the comic I've been working on this last year.
I've had the idea for this on the 'to do' shelf for over 10 years. I really want a change of pace for comic projects because I kind of feel stifled creatively.
While designing and editing has been taking me forever I'm really enjoying this as well as taking me outside my comfort zones artistically. (It scares me but fear is a good motivation)

I apologize I'm building a big post concerning the next comic and when anything deals with comics I get overly fussy. Which I should just relax, people enjoy art regardless of the state of polish it is in,  it's strange making art doesn't stress me out, SHARING art often does especially if it's design/concept.

July- August Sketch request

I forgot to post July, because it was so much art show posts... it was finished in July which was for Kuroro or their real neat fursuit/character Sunset

August was for  Alchemy of their deer character..which I love spots so I wanted to draw her back and legs.  

Coyote Cycle

Okay so this painting I wanted to post before Eurofurence but I varnished this, had to let it set and then packed it. So I had no time, while in Germany we were using those weeks to prepare for the move, so it was furniture buying, painting the townhouse we are moving into, looking up vets and cat supplies (my cats are on prescription diets and need meds) Then all my immigration crap.
So while it was an enjoyable visit it was hardly a vacation...But I did drink tasty drinks.

Canis Major

I finished this last week I think but I didn't get the in dark photo till a few days ago.
it's been NUTS.
I actually really love this one! If I were to make Canis Minor I would make it a small breed of dog.

I also have made embellished prints that do glow in the dark. So success we have prints with the same effect!

Fetch

So I have this 9X12 board I gessoed awhile ago and I've been thinking about fetches/fylgur all week. (spirit/omen creature similar to a familiar)  I have an obsession with these things that comes and goes.

I came up with this and painted it in 2 days in watercolour and gouache. I probably could have gotten done in one day but I had to mat a ton of stuff for the art show. ('ll take photos for all of you before I pack)

Canis Major mock up

I originally thought of making this red but it wasn't saying space to me in the mock up so I went back to blues. This I'll make more grey-blues.

I just realized I forgot the text, star chart lines... I'll add that after painting(I'm in such a rush right now). :|

Lynx Constellation

Same as Felis but I used more purples than blues as I don't want them treated as a set.
I plan on getting out the last one which will be the Canis Major.
After EF I hope to do a few more, they don't take me long and are kind of relaxing.

So because Patreon has gallery option for posts now I also have the lights off view with the  Phosphorescent  paint.

Red Death

This painting had so many hick-ups.  So first time I mounted the paper to the wood everything went fine, then I used a new liquid frisket and it RUINED the paper, ripping finish off and apart of the second layer so I had to start over. Got a new board, painted the edged, seals the paper and started over.
I really need to practice more with watercolour as I am a little disappointed in myself that I bust out the gouache in the end for this. I love his cloak that turned out how I wanted ...

Convention example

I've been playing around with what I'll offer at conventions. This is 6X9 and didn't want me long, though I'm not sure I'll keep the pencil in it, it wasn't quite the effect I wanted but I'm much happier inking with bolder lines in traditional as I can work so much faster that way than worried about the same line weight.

Stefan is always my examples, probably because he's eye catching despite he's a pretty deplorable character.  I'm going to time myself as see if I can do a full ...

Lynx constellation mockup

Digital mock up, I want this one to be more purple than the Felis one. I don't want people thinking of them as sets, but rather individual images so if you like one that's okay, if you like all of them that's great. As I have terrible terrible times selling sets of images...

I changed this because the actual constellation has a tail, as most classical artwork often does but modern people don't often know that and I'd rather not deal with constant 'why does the lynx have a tail' discuss...

New Sticker

So this was my fiancé  idea, I was going to make a coyote dancing with beer but I already will have an animal with beer sticker so he said why not make it a good advice coyote.
The light blue in the bottle and the text will be this holographic shiney material.
It will be around 3.4X3.4 inches.

Red Death

So I got an idea of this and decided to run with it. My Fiancé brought up I have nothing anthro for the art show so I was trying to think of something. Anthro work doesn't sell well for prints for me unless it's very puss in boots/fairy tale looking or a higher rating.  It's why I paint a lot of regular animals, it's what sells best for me and honestly I like painting animals too.
Then I got an idea from Masquerade of the Red Death as that's one of my favourite short stories of Edger...

Cat Coasters

So I finished these this week, two beer and two wine. They will be printed on both sides and in the pack I plan on two of each so an 8 pack.
I also made the witbier into a sticker that will be printed on glossy vinyl.
I attached the altered design for a sticker because Patreon doesn't allow you to insert an image into an image post.  

Felis constellation

I am actually really happy with this. This is how I envisioned it.
I get such a rush when an original looks like how I wanted it too!

Now next paintings I'll change things, I always wanted to make them not look matching so some will be more purple and other colours connected with space. As often as I make series of prints I never intend them to be sets up if you like that one.

3X4 Acrylic Colour mockup

So here are 4 of the colour mock ups of the 3X4 acrylic cradled wood panels . I also will have the horizontal ones done soon. I typically can paint 2 a day....maybe three but I have to make digital mock ups or I can quickly paint myself into a hole and not know how to save it.

Brown Hyena I may mix in some iridescent paint into the background. 

I'll be transferring these onto the wood asap.
