Evening players, here with our second July update! This month, Piledriver finally earns his name! We also have a new Department scene for you from artist TDK, with a glimpse at some Celopi getting off-mission.
Not much else to say tonight, I'm currently planning for our monthly status update and next free release to both be on Friday night. In addition to the usual schedule stuff, I'll also be going over the results of the Threesomes poll, so be sure to tune in! Patch notes below, links...

Evening all, time for our first release for July! This update is pretty straightforward - we have two new Loyalty missions for your Specialists, bringing us closer to finishing out the set. Our artists are continuing to work on Department scenes, and this weekend I'll be starting on Piledriver's first romance scene.
I do want to mention again though our public opinion poll running here, which wil...
2019-07-20 00:57:42 +0000 UTC View PostEvening, all! Normally this would be about the time of month that I set up a development poll for some of our patrons. However, at the moment my development tasks are pretty much locked in for the next few months. So instead, I offer up a public opinion poll!
Now, as I believe I've mentioned before, I intend for Specialist relationships to include some 'crossover events', aka threesomes. However, it's just too infeasible to include every possible pairing in a scene. Instead each Special...
2019-07-13 01:05:12 +0000 UTC View PostEvening all, time for the State of the Game! As usual, our latest free update is now up at the usual blog page. Lots of art items in this one!
This was a pretty successful month, by my standards at least. All of the coding tasks required for our current primary tasks (loyalty missions, specialist romances, and department CGs) should now be out of the way. For the next few months then, it should all ...

Evening folks, time for our second release of the month! This release features the return to Department scenes in our artwork, and finally getting things going with Specialist romances!
And regarding those romances, I would like to mention a particular design point. In the first conversation for each Specialist following their loyalty mission, you will have the option to make the relationship platonic or romantic. As I've mentioned earlier, I'm not going to have the time to write a 'pla...
2019-06-30 01:00:34 +0000 UTC View PostHey all, just wanted to give a quick update on the next release. The next planned supporter release will be on Sat, the 29th, and the next free release will be on Mon, the 1st. We've got a couple new Vox art items coming, and Grunt's next relationship scene is still in progress. See you then!

Evening folks, just a quick art preview for you tonight! We're dipping back into the department plotlines for scenes now, including some featuring the Overseer themselves. The above is one of the six variants of the Vox Department climax going into the next release, enjoy!

Evening all, time for our first June release! This release includes the final Specialist background as shown above, a Schen science lab. Beyond that this release was specifically focused on Loyalty Missions, of which we have two: Sorority and Switch.
While I did accomplish my goal this cycle of writing and implementing two missions in two weeks, it was a rather tight thing schedule-wise, so I may need to be more conservative with my estimates in the future. Never know when some artwork ...
2019-06-15 01:05:27 +0000 UTC View PostEvening, all, here with another short poll for you! As I've mentioned, our next/current art task is filling out the rest of the department 'climax' scenes. This will probably only take us maybe a few months though, and we may need an additional task to keep the artists busy until the Specialist scenes are written and ready to go. So, between the two, which would you rather see get art: background images for departments, or a random selection of the Random Encounter scenes?
This poll wil...
2019-06-12 03:00:47 +0000 UTC View PostEvening readers, time for the State of the Game! First, v0.28.1 is now up for the public at our usual blog downloads page, bringing the first mission content to our freebie followers. As a reminder, this represents the mission feature at essentially an alpha stage of development, but feel free to enjoy the taste of things to come.
Next up, content plans. As I mentioned yesterday, NPC romance scenes ...

Evening all, here with your second May release! I have some good news, and some bad news for you tonight.
The good news is that due to some alignment of the schedule gods, we have six new art items for you tonight - probably a record for a two week cycle. The bad news is that, between the time spent getting the artwork into the game and dealing with other coding tasks, I was not able to get Grunt's first real relationship scene written up, and we'll be pushing that back a month...

Hey all, here with your first May release! As I've discussed previously, much of the work this cycle was spent completing the Special Abilities for Exploration Missions, you can check out that post here if you missed it. This completes the core functionality tier of work for missions as I've discussed previously, and for the next while I'll be focusing on Loyalty Mission content to fill it out with. I will be diver...
2019-05-18 00:51:53 +0000 UTC View PostEvening folks, thought I'd drop in with a little design update tonight. Specialist Special Abilities are now functional for the next build, and perhaps you may be wondering what exactly the special abilities are. While they will be described in missions, and probably eventually in codex entries, I thought it might be good to lay them all out in one place for folks. For starters, they all have a few things in common: they can all be used in one encounter per mission, and they modify your team'...
2019-05-11 01:42:12 +0000 UTC View PostHey all, got a short poll for you this month. As I've said earlier, later this month I plan on starting on Specialist sex scenes in between working on missions. It'll still be a side objective, which means they'll come a bit slowly until I can switch over to focus on them more fully. So I have a prioritization question for you: Should I rotate between Specialists, one scene at a time, or focus on one until they're done and move on? The first will be Grunt, but the ordering past that may be a ...
2019-05-09 00:24:27 +0000 UTC View PostEvening all, time for your State of the Game! First up, v0.27.1 is now available for the public on our blog downloads page. As a reminder, this is only one release ahead of the previous free update, due to us skipping ahead one last month.
With that out, I'll get right into our plans for this month. Artwork is continuing, with more scenes for the Roth and Maelish directors nearing completion soon, a...

Evening all, time for our second release for the month! This month includes a new background for Octo's hangout, seen above, as well as a new Schen random encounter scene. Mostly, however, this release focused on code work. As I discussed in the post here, this month was focused on the 'core functionality' of Exploration Missions.
I'm glad to say most of that is in, with the exception o...
2019-05-01 00:33:38 +0000 UTC View PostEvening all, thought I'd give you all a bit of a code update on what I've been up to, and what I'll be up to over the next couple months, now that I've had some time to actually put a bit of focus on mission functionality. If you're not interested in technical stuff, feel free to ignore this update.
My development goal with missions is to, rather than work on them for several months behind the scenes and then dump a fully completed feature, to get the bare minimum functional and then la...
2019-04-20 01:05:55 +0000 UTC View PostFinal post for tonight, less of a development poll and more of an opinion poll. While I work on missions, each month I like to do at least once text scene so there's still some playable content being added. Sometimes this is a random encounter, sometimes this is Hellfire content, depending on my mood and whether or not our Overseers had any encounter preferences that month. But whichever way it goes, what sort of scene content do you folks generally enjoy more? Multiple options are allowed, a...
