Who Endures: Stones & Steel -Complete-

Book IV of the series is now completed, and Book V begins.  I've scheduled weekly chapter uploads to Royal Road for the next two years, but if you don't want to wait and want to read the whole series, they're all on my discord server and available for immediate viewing.

The Fifth book in the series opens with Nua Calen Aiwenor's response to the proposal of Prince Rasgen, and proceeds through the grand revival of Komestra, the rising threats of the Starwatcher temp...

Who Endures: Volume IV

I hope you've been enjoying the saga so far, major changes are afoot that will rock the foundations of the city states, the first display of Onimeus's battle savvy, and the question of the hidden adversary will come up in some subtle ways.  Prince Isaura, Duchessa Aiwenor, and the Queen of Vexation are on a course where they may collide as enemies, or embrace as allies in the days ahead.

The Starlight War looms in the distance as the sons of the God Emperor seek to flex their muscl...

Chapter 116: Requiem for Remedios

This completes the art for the 2nd Arc of 'God Rising' the Cult of Ainz.

The next piece will be the Battle of Crossroads, featuring General Enri, Lupusregina, and so on.

4 more illustrations  will be done after that, and then this stage of the project will be complete.  Of course if you want to continue to support this to illustrate additional stories, such as the Synod, A Heart for a King, the Trial, Who Endures, Slaughterlands, Unholy Rose, or other works, well I...

New chapters

Well I hope you've been enjoying the new chapters, Scales of Trust got a new one a few days ago, but 'Who Endures: Hellscape' the third book in the 'Who Endures' series, has gotten quite a few.  As you might have guessed, that one is a commissioned work, and quite frankly it is one of my best.  It's available on Royal Road as well, at one chapter per day every day to bring it from the first book to the latest in a rapid and engaging way, and if you haven't left a review on it, well....

So you'll see Neia, Skana, and Remedios in a full motion clash...

And the Dragon's Lunchboxes, Enri and Lupusregina engaged in combat... it'll be glorious.  :)  Thank you for your support.

Scales of Trust Chapters

I hope you enjoyed this month's chapters, with the meeting of the elf, 'Fey'ka'el, well prepare to have the magic of the world be explained in greater detail, very little of that has been shown thus far, but elves without magic is like elves without bows.  "What are you and why are you pretending to be an elf?" :D

I kid, I kid, but anyway I hope you had fun with 24/25, and spread the word to anyone looking for a good read that 'Scales of Trust' is worth their time. :)

Chapter Twenty

Well chapter 20 went up last night.  Getting that chapter right took longer than I thought, largely because something just felt 'wrong' about the characters of Seyi, Kelo, and then then not yet named woman that Seyi went to sleep with.

As you know, I tend to write strong female characters, but how that strength is expressed can come in wildly different ways.  Neia was a force of raw intimidation, Vanysa was cunning and strong willed.  Nua was patient and enduring.  E...

Hope you all enjoyed the latest chapter on Royal Road.  :)  Perspectives will increase to show more of the world at large, and the worldbuilding will increase accordingly. :)

Hope you liked chapter 18. :)

I'm working on the next chapter of 'House Divided' today.  Then another chapter of Scales of Trust this evening if time permits.  It'll end up on Royal Road probably by the end of the week.

Slight delay

Just to let you know, there's a slight delay on this chapter as I've been working hard at finishing the first book in the 'Rise of Aiwenor' series, 'Who Endures' the story of Nua Calen Aiwenor and Solution Epsilon in the eastern city states beyond the Triumvirate of the Beastmen Empires at the center of the continent.  Taking place twelve years after 'The Trial: Journey's End' a wiser, more experienced, more dangerous, and driven Nua, following the guidance of Solution Epsilon who she re...

Ongoing :)

Hope you're enjoying the story so far.  Going to be working on Chapter 17 today.  If I had any artistic talent I'd draw the scene with Archos tearing the head off the fenrisu.  Ah well.

Just a reminder, it's now being put on Royal Road because it displays better that way.  It's jumped up thousands of spots in the rankings since I started uploading it there, and in related news, the rewrites of the early God Rising chapters are going up there as well.

UPDATE ON HOSTING, FUTURE CHAPTERS

Much as I 'LOVE' Patreon for making it possible to draw support for my work, it is no secret to y'all that it is NOT well suited to written works.  'HOWEVER' I have found a solution.

ALL MY FICTIONS, ORIGINAL AND FANFICTION, ARE NOW GOING TO BE UPLOADED HERE:

Archos & Ayente face off against the Unikoslof (Cave bear)
If you're curious, 'Unikoslof' means 'Fur Mountain' in Thool'eyar the language of Ayente's people in the New World.  The name 'Thool'eyar' means 'Listener's Tongue'.

Chapter 13

When the moment passed them by, Ayente went and knelt before the bear corpses and laid her hands on their heads.  “Do not curse the names of Ayente and Archos in the beyond.  I swear to you I killed not for pleasure, and will consume you with the greatest reverence...

Green, that was the first word that popped into Archos’s mind as they drew ever closer to the forest.  The distance covered was spent in an amicable kind of quiet, but it was readily apparent as the time moved on that the forest to which they were trekking was farther away than he believed.  The trees seemed not to be approaching as they moved, and finally he had to ask.  “Just... how big are those damnable trees?”

His mouth stayed open as he spoke, and Ayente looke...

Chapter 11

“Come with me.”  Archos said bluntly, his thought of gathering her tribe, abandoned as disgust for the mob ran through him.

She could feel the anger radiating from his body as she followed behind him.  His footfalls were persistent in their steadiness, evenness, and that even when sure of purpose, he had a casual air as if nothing could touch him.  ‘I have seen flashes of anger, but now he seethes.’  She hung her hea...

Archos ignored the shouting at first, he simply smashed obsidian fragments and piled them nearby, until he heard the shouting of Ayente’s mother, and Ayente’s shout in turn.  ‘I do not know if their gods are real, but... calling out to them in frustration and an...

Chapter 9

The long plains were broken up by many great hills, and over these went Vyka and his escort, every now and then they would climb to the top of a rise, and Sukish would trill in the whistler’s tongue of his people, sending the sound beyond the hearing of many shouts.  The...

Creative Activity

So, it's been a wild ride the last few weeks.  Of course I'm sure all of you no doubt are aware that 'God Rising' has finally reached its conclusion, topping out at 212 chapters (I don't count the author note or that one Q&A chapter) and over 1,000,000 words and... as of now, almost a view per every word at almost 1 million views.

I'm proud, humbled, and all in all, profoundly HAPPY, for all the support, enthusiasm, and passion that has gone into that project.  Of course ...

Scales of Trust C8

The morning sun broke through the branches and struck Vyka’s eyes as he lay happily within the branches.  “Alright, alright, I’m up.”  He said to the warmth as he stretched and grabbed the branches near to him.  The thin bark crinkled under his strong grip as he swung himself out of his favorite resting place, then dropped from one to the next with practiced ease until he landed with both feet, bouncing off his heels as he did so.

With the early morning sun at his...

Vyka ran like the wind, a steady wind that neither stopped nor slowed nor sped up.  It simply ‘was’.  He had a smile on his face as he did so, his long, loping stride ate up ground, his arms pumped steadily at his sides, his breath came in a steady and even rhythm.  The sky above and the earth below framed an endless open plain that he loved as deeply as he loved his tribe, his parents, or even his own life.  He ate on the run, and paused only to relieve himself over t...

Darkness, that was what a child of the caves was born into.  Before they know the kiss of the sun, before they know the milk of their mother’s breast, they know darkness and the coldness of stone.  Makine didn’t bother looking behind him to where the woman gave birth, she was screaming in her labor pains as she brought forth life, if she lived, she would be honored, if she died, she would be honored, if her child perished, it would be a blood curse.  Makine did not look bac...

Chapter 5

The little place was less a village and more of a camp, so it did not take long to get to Malach’s hut.  It was identical to all the others in every way but one.  As Archos looked it over, he saw that it was decorated with various familiar stones pressed into the dr...

Story Concept

Just pitching the idea:

A Light Novel style 'harem' story... BUT...

Which deals with the actual emotional lives of the characters involved, the consequences of a group of people sharing a life all centered around their affections towards one person.  The jealousy and envy, the heartbreak, the common bonds, the fear of betrayal or it's actual occurrence.

As I'm sure most of you know, I've long held an interest in biblical history, mythology, and a few other area...

Scales of Trust Magic system

Still bedridden and sick unfortunately, very hard to write like this but... I didn't want to leave y'all with nothing today, so I managed to more or less complete work on the magic system of the SoT Universe.  Being something of a man of science, I wanted to give it some reliable principles to govern it rather than just throw out 'because magic' at every turn, to make for a more complete world.  I've gone ahead and included a history of the magic system in the old world to help give...
