I'm still dealing with some rough back pain, but managing to find comfortable-enough positions in my chair so that I can actually get work done. Ugh. Don't be 35 like me. It hurts sometimes.

COMPLETE - Thikmin Stickers

The Thikmin sticker set is complete! I made a few changes, especially to Blue and Yellows' faces. Truthfully, I think that Bulborb is one of the funniest things I've maybe ever drawn.

PROCESS - Mister Misty

As promised, here's my process and some thoughts for Mister Misty!

I recently got figurines of Misty, Staryu, and Starmie for a great price on ebay (my impulse control is a little wonky sometimes but they're freakin' cute, okay???), which was the inspiration point for this whole piece. They're such great quality; the Pokemon having clear resin for their crystals is such a nice touch! You can see them in the final picture in this set.

Pinup Sticker Club - April Sticker COMPLETE

Happy Friday, drifters!

It became very clear to me early on that the theme of "wood" would win April's sticker poll - it ultimately got over half the votes! - so I took it upon myself to design the sticker a couple days ago. I usually wouldn't count my chickens before they hatch but the result was clear enough that I felt comfortable with it. Plus this helps me get back on schedule with sticker stuff, and we love that!

Happy Thursday, scribbles!

I've been working on a comic for a client, and I'm currently in the thumbnail stage on that. I'm doing that in the Notability app on ipad, because it's a decidedly un-fussy way to get ideas onto a digital canvas, and that's where I drew these doodles as well. I took a break for a few minutes yesterday just to scribble, and I like the results.

I don't sketch much on paper so everything comes out a little wonky and scribbly, but...that's sort of part of the charm I guess. My Bubble Font

Something a little different today. As I put together some signage for Saturday's event, I realize I never mentioned that I made myself a bubble font! I got tired of making every ad's bubble lettering bespoke, so I made a font I can dip into in Illustrator anytime I need to. (The smaller font that you see me use all the time - example of it under the word "CLEARANCE" - is called "Longbox" and it's a Blambot font, for those who are curious).
