SO excited to get a little lead back when we don't post a video the Friday after tomorrow. Going to try to get ahead and stay there to avoid some of the stress of the last few weeks, but good news y'all, we're in the process of outsourcing more things like captions, website maintenance, etc wooo!! Doors lookin' good and GREEN!

Yes, we strayed from our typical dark blue doors to *gasp* green doors! Also Evan always tells me my phone camera lens is dirty and I think he's right... this picture looks a little smeary. It's honestly probably resin fingerprints. Anyways, just wanted to give y'all a little sneak peek! One more coat of paint tonight should hopefully do it and then we can add hardware and re-hang em!

Honestly we weren't the MOST excited about this project because it's hard to get super creative with home improvement projects but SO thankful we took it on because it's something we get to enjoy every day!

Door progress

Wanted to give you guys a sneak peek at our front door and also a sneak peek at our main fail of the project. 

The door looks SOOO much better. The change in color obviously but also SO glad that we have a higher gloss finish instead of the old matte color. Think the people who painted our house last just used cheaper trim color for the door too lol.

The fail was the first light we installed (on the right) where the light faces down. When we turned it on we realized this type...

PODCASTS INCOMING!

Really excited about the podcast episodes we were able to fit in while at WorkbenchCon!!

 ***EDIT*** Most were on average 15 minutes, one snowballed to 50 minutes, but we had some GREAT conversations with some awesome makers. To clarify, the 50 minute episode will take up most of the podcast with just a little chatting of me and Evan at the beginning and end, the 15 minute interviews will be incorporated into "normal" podcast episodes, so like 15 minutes of interview, 15-20 minutes...

Getting ready for WorkbenchCon!

Hey y'all! We're working away trying to get Friday's video and Monday's podcast all ready for launch before we head out to WorkbenchCon tomorrow! Feels good to actually be able to stay on top of things during trips/events instead of scrambling/falling behind haha. That's gotta mean we're at least getting a little more on top of our to-do's :P Anyways, I know at least a handful of y'all will be there but let us know if you're going and definitely say hi! :)

So... in what's becoming a very usual occurrence, the next project we were going to work on (front door) got delayed due to sponsors and shipping so we're pivoting again wooo!!! 

Busting out our CNC to make our biggest mold yet. Also has anyone else noticed that silicone just looks tasty?

Also trying to take our mold making and casting to some next level stuff with this one! Excited to share :)

Grill table aftershow

In this aftershow we cover: 

- Figuring out the welder (metal thickness, wire gauge, matching the right parts to the wire gauge, not turning on the gas, using up SO much wire)
- first impressions of welding on our own
- Decided to finish it - led to delay
- Surprisingly glad we needed to fix up the patio for the ad
- now we're inspecting welds everywhere

Actually...

Remember how we said that our next project will be a catio? Well we hit some delays in terms of the sponsor and had to hit the drawing board again, but SO happy with what we settled on. We turned a fan we had sitting around into a spinning machine for some epoxy and liquid acrylic art!! Really happy with how everything turned out and can't wait to share!

P.S. The catio is for sure going to happ...

Grinding and paint may not make a welder but they certainly help!

Project is coming along nicely!! Got everything welded up square and after some grinding and paint it looks SO NICE!!

Really happy with how things turned out for our very first welding project. Can't wait for the finish to dry on the wood so we can put it all together 😊

Catio!

Well, we're making a catio! Which is like a tiny patio for your cat. Unlike most places right now it's about 70 degrees so officially time to start doing some outdoor related projects. Also we are waiting on deliveries for a bunch of stuff before we can start any other projects so we just keep moving down the line and working on the designs and preliminary planning for future projects. This one may not be out til March., but still, it's exciting! Supurrvisor is gonna love it (I hope!)

A few behind-the-scenes updates

Hey y'all! We've been in behind-the-scenes mode the past few days getting a lot of back end stuff in order and it feels like we haven't filmed anything in forever (three days = forever).
