Sorry, I was suppoed to record two videos yesterday, but it was my night putting our son to bed and I fell asleep and wasted the whole night.
Here's one of the two promised videos, mainly covering virtual camera and GrowFX Wind.

The one I used in the cinematic short pt. 1. I think this has been uploaded under a different name before, but for simplicity, here it is again :-)

Starting to play around with animating fabrics in Marvelous!
I asked you if you think YouTube works better. Some say they're fine with it, others say Vimeo works better. So I might as well continue using Vimeo, unless you don't it sucks. LMK!

Model has hair (geometry) and is quite heavy. Hair can easily be removed since it's only a grouped object.

Some news and status on this project. Also trying to upload to YouTube (unlisted) instead of Vimeo, thinking it makes it easier for you to choose size of window, playback on mobile etc.
Let me know if you think YouTube works better!

Also I'm ditching all the polycount-and so on-info for the models. Who cares anyway.

I've started teaching my wife to help me out with model processing so that I can get up to speed with sharing more models here on Patreon as I'm really supposed to. Have been surprisingly easy so far. Here's some models!

Sorry I should've shared this scene yesterday and I was going to but realizing that all textures used in the scene are copyrighted. So I figured I really got to replace them all first.
Or, I'll just share the scene without these textures for now, and I can update the shared scene as it progresses. Either way, it's coming up in one form or another today.

Don't ask me why I bring this project up again, it just felt right. The joy wasn't very long though as I thought the result was mostly shit and I'll likely redo it later on, but progress nonetheless.
Tomorrow I'm also sharing the scene so you can play with it in your own direction if you wish.

Simple, but for those who are not at all familiar with lathe modeling, it could be useful.

In an earlier version of this attached render I used a coffee bean by Creative Crops. Great models!!
But I wanted to try some macro-scanning of my own, and besides I wanted to share this scene. So I scanned a new floor surface and also my own coffee bean.
It's my first ever shot at macro scanning so don't expect too much from it, but it works fairly well IMO.
Here's the bean. As said, will share the scene shortly!

Converting this scene to V-Ray (sharing scene file tomorrow) and also comparing V-Ray and FStorm a bit, justifying my choice of renderer.

A short tutorial that incorporates tyflow, ornatrix, and some tasty color grading.
As mentioned in the video, my main purpose of this video was to explore color grading options. It's my very first attempt using this workflow and I don't know how viable it is in the long run, but I've always wanted to work more with 3D like a photographer using similar workflows.
This is not a color grading tutorial and I won't share my preset. I've been working with that preset since a few y...

Just a follow up video to the shared scene, how to restore the lighting to the original look. Of course you can do whatever you want in terms of lighting, just didn't want to leave you with a broken scene :-)

Hi,
A lot of people asked me to re-upload this scene a while ago, so here it is again.
The thought with sharing scene files was that they shouldn't be available forever, because I don't want new patrons to access years of content in only one month pledge. Videos stay forever, but scene uploads I concider to be "fresh produce".
However, a lot of people wanted it so here it is again. More scene files and related content coming up shortly.
And compensating for the lac...

Hi,
Sometimes I get rather interesting questions in PM's to which the answers really deserve to be public so from now on I'll try to be more transparent with those. Anyone feel free to join and continue the conversation if you want in the comments section below.
Starting out with someone who asked:
I am very interested in how you designed and built your photogrammetry rig along with what sources you used to gain the knowledge as I am in the ...

As discribed in the video, I had this presentation for a class at a Swedish archviz school. Would be a waste if I didn't translate it for patreon. :-)
A lot of repetition from older videos and articles but some new patrons may have missed it.

Sadly I feel like this evening was just as unproductive as the previous one, but there are also some things I haven't mentioned before that could be useful for you!
Regardless, it is getting to the point where things are going slow. Of course I could start adding furniture which would pick up the pace again, but these details needs to be made sooner or later. The problem is that we in the 3D industry are mainly problem solvers and a lot of the things we want to achieve in our...

Wanted to post this video a week ago, but, as shown in this video too, I had problems and re-recorded. This video didn't become what I wanted it to, but it's progress nontheless.
New video every day for the rest of this week is my plan, as well as uploading a bunch of scenes, both new and re-uploads for those who missed them previously.
