Back from Borneo
Hello everyone!
I have returned from my trip to Malaysian Borneo and in celebration of getting over the 12 hour jetlag, I have made a few quick paintings of some of the birdies I saw. This was the first trip I've taken where my focus was to see wildlife and I think I'm hooked! Just before leaving, I got myself a used and very large lens (VLL) for my camera–best decision I've made in a long time. Hopefully, I will be using these photos as reference for a lot of tropical comics to come...
Lost Knees
Hey everyone!
I am currently in the jungles of Malaysian Borneo. I have been seeing so many wonderful birds (and whatever those non-bird animals are called) and I can’t wait to paint them all and make some special jungle comics. The one above ☝️ is a black and yellow broadbill—an instant favourite of mine for its calm personality and thick neck. I will post some things soon, though my access to the internet is pretty limited.
