I was a little hesitant to post this yet, because I haven't gotten a chance to talk to Renard's player about his dialogue.  I really don't think Renard would say what he's saying, but without his input, this is what you get.

Specifically, I don't know if Renard would call them bastards. That seems a bit out of character for a noble of his kind.

Also, I really hate drawing guns.

Sorry for the lateness, the Monday comic is always a little late since I start them on Mondays, but today my shoulder decided it wanted to hurt really bad, which put me back.

This is also the first page that I inked with my new Cintiq Companion, which is why the lines are a little weird. 

Because of the lateness, I was unable to give it the cool advanced shading that I had been using.

So that bird is based on a Killdeer.  I'm going to tell you a story now.

Back when my late husband was mowing the yard once, there was this bird that was pretending to have a broken wing.  It kept running in front of the lawn mower (Riding lawn mower), and my husband decided he should move the bird out of the way.  But everytime he ran up to the bird, it would run off.  So he'd get back in the Lawn Mower and this would repeat.

I'm actually not finished with this page, I want to put some highlights on the characters and soften up the shading. But I thought it was good enough to post for you guys to see it early.  This cold I picked up has really made it hard to work on pics for some reason. I was ahead for Kaerwyn but now I'm behind :(

At least the hurricane isn't coming our way anymore.  I'll update this pic when I've got the finished one ready.

Second page of "hey I'm painting them now".  I think my comic sketch style does not work with my painting style. This is part of what I want/need to work on. So at least I'm getting valuable practice in.

So this is what the comic would look like if I painted it instead of doing the black outline cell shading.

It was because of this that I decided to try continuing with the painting method, not only because it looks better, but because I *really need practice* with painting, and I never have time for it with the comics and the commissions.  I'm slightly ahead of my Kaerwyn schedule so that gives me more time to work on it.
