NEW HI-RES MAPS FOR NIGHT FLOORS

Hey guys! Here are two new hi-res maps for my Delta Green scenario NIGHT FLOORS (which was printed in Delta Green: Countdown, and will also be rewritten and integrated into IMPOSSIBLE LANDSCAPES as an intro scenario).

Attached are two maps. One shows the Macallistar building in its normal form, and the second shows the Macallistar and all of its secrets when the fourth floor becomes the haunted night floors. Enjoy!

HANDOUTS FOR THE SENTINELS OF TWILIGHT

We had an incredible amount of material to fit in the Delta Green Handler’s Guide. Every word, every section, every ounce of space was carefully selected...and much failed to make the cut. One of those things were assorted documents and handouts for the operation presented on page 340 of the Handler’s Guide, The Sentinels of Twilight. We’ve assembled the information h...

THE WAY IT WENT DOWN: TRUST FALLS

There's a silence that falls around a disappearance. A stillness that drops into an investigation when it's gone over and gone cold. An emptiness that bleeds in from the edges until all you are looking at is a blank, white, piece of paper which will never be filled out.

Then, a life of papers, photographs, and bagged evidence in cardboard boxes, shuffled through stale, dusty rooms in the dark. Then, decades later, or sometimes sooner by accident, a purge. This, of course, is ...

NARRATIVE SANDBOXES: CALL OF CTHULHU, GUMSHOE, AND THE LABYRINTH

By John Scott Tynes

Chaosium’s Call of Cthulhu was the first investigative roleplaying game and arguably the first to really expect and deliver a recognizable plot for every adventure. By the time I launched The Unspeakable Oath magazine and started Pagan Publishing in 1990, Chaosium’s published adventures were increasingly plot-driven. They were typically composed as a linear series of canned scenes which the pl...

DELTA GREEN: INSPIRATIONAL MOVIES AND SHOWS

I often see people referencing particular shows in relation to Delta Green. Many focus on the X-Files as a prime reference, even as the SOURCE of Delta Green, but it is not so. Delta Green first appeared in John Tynes' scenario Convergence in 1992's The Unspeakable Oath, issue 7, back when Mulder and Scully were only dim outlines in Chris Carter's mind. We all mined the same resources of course, Roswell—back before it was trite, I might add—so it's no shock we share simi...

THE WAY IT WENT DOWN: CHARLIE IS LOST

Snow rips by, outside my window, looking like some green screen trick when the phone rings for the fourteenth time. The phone rings and then stops, mid-ring like an interruption in the line, before ringing again, and for too long. One long BRRRRRRRRRPPPPPPP. My hand hovers over it for a moment. On TV, a face the size of a billboard in my vision—pimples and yellowed teeth—moves in silence. Muted.

I pick up the phone and flip it open. It beeps. The battery is low. I fish out the c...

S-BRANE ENTITIES, A NEW THREAT FOR DELTA GREEN

Since its earliest recorded history mankind has reported intelligences that intrude upon our world; things that spy, occupy human bodies, and seem to hunt particular substances or outcomes in our spacetime for enigmatic reasons. Angels, demons, tulpa, skin-walkers, men in black. Each culture calls them something different. To the Program, they are known as “S-Brane entities” or “HEIs” (“hyperdimensional extruded intelligences”).

Player’s Agents might find themselves face-t...

THE WAY IT WENT DOWN: INVOLUNTARY

We drove in the rain tonight. A long time. Got the word that it was on. Ev sat silently next to me, all normal, hand on her temple, watching the rain come down as the car floated in the dark.

And I said a prayer then, that whatever had happened, I was still sitting next to Evelyn.

Let me tell you something children, mankind is not hard-wired to kill humans. Boy. Understatement time.

I learned this the first time four months out of academy, when a meth-skinny kid pulled...

EX OBLIVIONE

A brand new Operation for Delta Green.

The town is small. It huddles in low arroyos, yucca, pits, and plains of the Arizona desert. It's not near anything, anymore, but once it was next to the Naval Medical Annex at Fly Field. The people who worked in the annex lived in the town. The janitors and clerks and doctors all called the town their home, and for two decades, the town blossomed.

Now, that flower has faded. The annex is closed, the highway bypassed the town, ...

COLD FLESH

“LIFE” BEYOND DEATH FOR YOUR AGENTS, PART I

In Delta Green, Agents often find that any clear delineation between life and death appears to be nothing more than a wholly arbitrary line drawn by man. Various methods, sciences and dark magics have found ways around the normal processes, and in doing so, have transformed humans from fragile, mortal beings into something else, sometimes something more.

Invariably, however, this darkness always consumes them. <...

THE WAY IT WENT DOWN: THAT WHICH PROVIDES

The Tolupan shaman smelled like vomit and hydrogen peroxide and he said he had been waiting for me, though he couldn't know I was coming, I told her not to say anything. They all liked to play these games. Divination garbage.

The drug he had, I had heard, was a bronze dust, ground from a plant which was then heated in a soup. I asked him about it, and his eyebrows raised when I did it in Eastern Jicaque. He smiled, showing me yellowed stumps of teeth stained red inside, like a d...

THE WAY IT WENT DOWN: SPAWNING

On those special days, the world is like a dream. Fall comes, as it does, and campus blooms with people and colors even as everything is dying. Dying. It should be colorful, everything is cycling through a dance of energy, each loop cut tightening the strings, every day a countdown. Everything. Everyone. Dying or dead.

Except for me.

It wasn’t easy. I mean, it wasn’t just something you could go and find in the card catalog. Instead, it was hidden inside. Books you ...
