I just wanted to share some (basic) thoughts about different fluid settings and the endless possibilies for different aesthetics and behaviours you can achieve by changing settings for your fluid body.

It´s just a quick overview to show you the possibilities and give you some excitement, probably later I can also do a full scene-breakdown for a simulation.

Playing with Viscous Settings on Sunday

I just wanted to share a short insight on different settings for the fluid solver, to get different values of viscosity. I will test more simulation settings to get a great result that I can then share with you as an alembic download.

Then we will apply beautiful shaders on our fluid and cosmetic product, light it and just create an awesome looking product render.

This is an intro with a basic setup and understanding of the different main parameters to give your fluid a more viscous "honey-like" appearance.

I was a bit unprecise with my explanation at some point, so let me quickly explain the main thing you have to understand about the Nexus PBD Fluid Solver:

Some Images of what you get with the Cosmetic Starter Kit in the Knights Tier

As you can see, my buddy / 3D-modelling expert Julien Jiang took care, that we get some really nice all-quads topology and the details are nice and smooth. Just in case we wanna go closer with the camera for some close-up shots.

He also made sure that we have clean UV´s and created some additional labels so that we can put our logos/font directly onto the product or onto a thin label.

Now... we are well prepared for some upcoming lessons on product rendering in combinatio...
