Down into the darkness to calm the restless dead in this map set. Follow the candle glow through the city of the dead to arrive at the central camber. Before you, the stone Guardian of the Lost stands watch over the memorials of the dead. What awaits your party in these halls? Swarms of ghosts and zombies? A dark cult? A rift into the lands of the undying?
This piece was another fun one to paint. I always enjoy getting to work a figure into what otherwise is a painting of rocks, rocks, ...

A coastal oddity is the destination for the first map this month. Tucked away in a small inlet, a reef rises above the waves. Is that real coral, or a constructed landscape by some eccentric architects? This one is inspired by some suggestions sent in by Patrons a while back, and I love the potential for this to just be a cool hideaway spot for some creative pirates.
For variants, this one features quite a few compared to previous packs. Take a stroll through a shanty town amidst the re...

Through the portal to another world, ravaged by cold winds and the light of dying stars. We're off to the astral plane in this map pack. The concept for this design is a place that can be used for both an encounter and puzzle. The wall features carvings/holes which can represent constellations that point to other worlds or planes. For a long quest, the party can be sent to collect several orbs which act as keys to be paired with the constellation wall. They could unlock an unique treasure, sa...

A rainbow of colors greet the players in this new Neverland inspired map. The set features a coastal overlook with fey garden. It makes for a whimsical landing area for the party's arrival in a new world, with plenty of space to dock a small ship. I really enjoying playing with bright saturated colors after a couple months of monotoned maps. Something fresh to welcome in spring...if it ever gets here.
Part 2 of this set will be a mini pack featuring other places of interest on this isla...

Oozing sounds and smells are abound in this map pack. The local swamp has an undead problem, and your players have been chosen to end it. Toss your favorite slimy denizens at them as they slog through unideal difficult terrain. At long last, they'll arrive at a rocky outcrop with an ominous limestone skull carved into it. The site could not be more obviously cliche...this is the home to the undead problem. Stage a fantastic encounter on the surface, or take your party below to fight the big b...

The White Dragon Lair was such a treat to work on as a project. Thanks to your amazing support, I was able to take a bit of time to work on this pack as not just a series of map variants. Between the design work I do for my rent money and our tabletop maps, I usually don't have much time to sit down and just pai...

Sliding in the last pack we continue the them of "maps that got away from the artist." It has been a while since we did a big interior map set like this...and wow did I forget how much work goes into it. The good news is, this set added quite a bit to my prop library, with nearly every piece of furniture drawn and painted from scratch for this release. The goal is that in the future, we'll have a good selection of assets to copy paste and whip this style of map out much faster.
This est...

New month, new map themes. Wrapping up Feb, we have the Estate Planning map set dropping in the next couple days. A multimap noble's estate of the mansion, grounds, and obligatory secret passageways for everyone's favorite dinner murder mystery one shot.
On the docket for March, we have the White Dragon Lair coming up, along with a few art and token mini packs I've been steadily working on during lunch breaks. These should be dropping in the first half of the month as free mini packs, w...

February has been one heck of a chilly month in my neighborhood; and painting another arctic map set probably didn't help. Yet here we are with the first of two map sets for the month. The concept for this one was a set of ruins, maybe an old keep, that have slowly been swallowed by an encroaching glacier. On the surface, there's not much to be seen of note; a few cave entrances and a tower jutting out of the ice. Beneath the surface, adventurers can find a network of cave that may...

As I currently debate the merits of hibernation over shoveling out from another snow storm, here's a nice toasty jungle map to round out the month. Inspired by the top down shape of my second favorite house plant, this temple locale makes for a great addition to your tropical campaigns. I wanted to keep the setting fairly neutral, so it can be stocked with Yaun ti, Slaad, and Lizardfolk of your choosing. The overall arena is designed to be a final stage with four outer "platform" areas ...

The party creeps quietly through another dungeon delve; weaving their way from cavern to cavern avoiding all manner of oozes and goblins. Suddenly, the underground opens up to a large hall and a winding path around strange rock formations. The chamber's ceiling is held aloft by a central pillar, easily several giants' width in size. As the adventurers draw nearer, they begin to realize the rocks take on the form of a massive blade standing long enough for stalagmites and stalactites to gr...

Now that the chaos of the holiday season is behind us, it is once again time to choose the direction for the next round of maps. Since February is a short month and I'm aiming to take a slight vacation toward the end of that month, we're going to once again roll the poll into two months instead of one to help with planning ahead.
You know the drill, vote for your favorites from the selection down below and the front runners will make it into the production queue. Have an ide...

Deep in the woods, the bones of a sacred tree make for the site of a druid's enclave. Above the clouds, the branches stretch into new worlds.
This set originally started as a Jack and the Beanstalk meets the World Tree concept. I wanted to create a surreal feeling in some of the variations, to give the notion of this great tree existing across worlds. Of course, I can never pass up the opportunity for painting trees and lush grasses, so we also have the ground level concept of a druidic...

A mysterious tower rumored to hold untold treasures. The air is thick with unstable magics, promising either great reward or mishaps for those inclined toward the arcane. The Shattered Archives, once the home of a reclusive mage enclave, stands empty and in various states of ruin. While it appears to be looted many times over, the top floor reveals the tower's true treasure and power; a nexus point of shattered realities allowing for the Archive to exist in multiple planes and locations at on...

Just a casual coastal locale for this set. The Lighthouse itself sits on top of a rocky promontory, overlooking a stormy sea. The party can ascend to the landing via the wave soaked staircase, haphazardly carved into the cliffside...or try to scale the cliff directly. There's plenty of room to park your favorite ship token along the coast, or utilize the lower coves and inlets as rowboat staging zones.
The pack itself is split into a larger 30x50 size that focuses on variants, and...

As we roll into another month, it is time once again for our map theme poll. For November, I'd like to try something a little different. From an artist's perspective, it is very easy to get lost in exotic locales and forget about the probability of a map being used in a game. It makes for some random poll choices each month that sound cool, but may ultimately just end up collecting virtual dust. That being said, I'd love to get a better feel for the type of content you CAN use in your games!&...

New month, new map. Ravenwell is a concept mash up of previous poll winners "Well of Souls" and "Ravenspire." I wanted to give this locale the feeling like it could be a Ravenqueen shrine, or an ancient tomb/crypt. This set features three distinct floors which can be used together for a full sidequest, or just the ground floor for a single encounter area. Traditional spiral wells are great for setting the mood, but I wanted to create a more usable combat field than a single staircase. Inspira...

Magical fountains, golden platforms, and jeweled waves await the party, as they travel to a watery lair. The Water Djinn's Palace can be just that, an ornate boss room to bargain with mysterious elementals...or outlast their wrath after plundering the locale's riches. Or perhaps the resident is tied a bit more closely to the Prime Material Plane.
Part 1 of this set features 14 different map variations. While each one is unique, they all include a central platform surrounded by rising wa...

This set was equally a lot of fun and work to make. As always, I want to help dms and players get the maximum amount of mileage out of paid packs. Sometimes you want 10+ variants of a forest map...other times not so much. As summer rolls out into fall, I've been itching to do a quick ocean map to celebrate the beaches being free of crowds again. This is a free mini pack for Patrons. Nothing too complicated worth stretching into a full 10+ variant set. Just some rocks, seaweed, and salty spray goodness. The link below will take you straight to the automated download; and like all packs contains gridded, no grid, 200ppi, and 140ppi versions of all the maps.

Building off creating an asset library for myself, this pack is a hybrid of traditional encounter maps and modular diy. City maps are fairly essential to most campaigns, especially if there are any chase scenes afoot. I wanted to be able to create a way for DMs to have colorful no hassle maps, along with the ability to expand them according to their own layout needs.
Advanced and Archmage Patrons will find in addition to traditional maps, access to truly modular tile sets. These sets ar...

It's about that time for a new map theme poll! May was unfortunately a much lighter content month than I wanted. I was/am currently recovering from a moderately severe injury to my drawing arm, which limits the amount of time I can spend working.
