This week guys we are on the search for water, which isn't always easy to get whilst sailing the world! Some countries are easier than others, but this week we sail to a couple of different marinas in search of water and finally get some at a big fuel dock with a bit of fuel. All the while we get to hang out and explore some beautiful little anchorages and swim in some luscious turquoise waters. Watch out for the attack of the beastie when it comes to grooming time!

Its all about the sailing this week guys! Sailing, sailing and more sailing, I am a Sailing Solo Mumma this week with the kiddos, they are actually getting to learn to set sails, lift anchor, navigate and do all the fun jobs with me as I sail us up the Sardinian east coast towards Olbia. It is sooo much fun aboard Pickle when Chris is away! Fun, Free and Flying!!
This week guys, in this fabulous Sardinian anchorage, Chris and Beau go on a very long hike to find some data. We do some cool little sails to new anchorages checking out these amazing turquoise waters, AND Chris LEAVES the Pickle family!!!! And I finally get my 'Man' badge for killing a fish... very begrudgingly 😅 then it's a bit of topless swimming before we start all the solo sailing with two kids! Super sail from Vulcano stopping off at another little island for fuel then carrying on for three days to Stunning Sardinia! We see dolphins, Whales catch Tuna and Mahi Mahi!! Then reach the beautiful deserted anchorage and explore our new surroundings! With amazing turquoise waters and sandy beaches… it’s like heaven!

Wow what a very cool few days we have! We have a long but fantastic sail from Taormina, Sicily through the Messina Strait and sail through the night to arrive in Vulcano, where we continue the adventure with all the bubbly water and under water springs and exploring the Vulcano Island, It's so beautiful, hope you enjoy the fun!

After an extremely poop week with crappy boatyard work, we have sailed on leaving Beautiful mainland Italy behind and having a busy, windy sail over to Sicily. Sadly our boat work is failing already as we had feared would happen, but we don't let that stop us going to shore and exploring the beautiful Taormina castle and surrounding area.

We are stuck in this Italian boat yard in Crotone for 3 weeks!!! it was meant to be 10 days to get the repairs done, for all those scratches and cracks caused from the big boat which dragged onto us last year! Every job which we were promised was delayed and then when they did carry out the work it was a complete bodge job by lads who didn't have a clue what they were doing! It was probably one of the most frustrating few weeks of our lives, especially for Chris who had continuous arguments w...

Busy week as ever! We get the last couple of essential jobs done before night sailing to another part of Italy so we can get Pickle lifted out the water to repair the damage from the crash last year in Turkey! But as ever we have a minor engine problem, as we leave the marina in the darkest of nights, we have to drop an anchor to replace a pully and water pump just off shore, thankfully there was little wind and we swiftly recover, sailing on to get lifted out of the water in Crotone.

We travel back to the UK from Pickle after getting her all snug and winterised in our winter marina in Italy. Then we embark on a crazy trip to the Isles of Scilly, which involves train journeys, a the night riviera sleeper train, buses, planes, taxis and jet boats... It's quite the fun adventure to start our Christmas celebrations! We then get a very cool few weeks exploring the Isles of Scilly and spending time with our gorgeous family.

Winterising jobs are top priority this week! We made it to our winter marina and start to do the hundreds of jobs to ready Pickle for the winter when Chris has to leave, the car has broken down and the Italian garage is useless, so we end up doing some crazy flying and driving to get everyone back to the UK again for Christmas!

After last weeks episode where we get our quotes for repairs and have a knees up, we are finally ready to leave Crotone, in the dark, sailing onto Roccella along the boot of Italy. We have a final amazing sunrise at sea get ourselves in some heavy weather and choppy seas, then we lose our anchor mid sail!!! Join us to see if we manage to retrieve 50 metres of chain and our 20kg Manson Anchor!!

Well yet again we're in a Pickle! After the last months constant storm sailing we finally had engine failure in last weeks episode, Thankfully engine stripping and rebuilds is becoming something we're quite good at!
