Annual Charges and Commission Tier now available

I opted into Annual charges. Annual charges are optional and, if I did my math right, are basically 2 months off in their respective tier. This wasn't a change I could apply to individual tiers, so I felt obligated to offer something special for an annual charge on the commission tier since it would be so gargantuanly expensive.

Got my new office set up, and it's back to work. For now, I'm going to focus on flatting the rest of the comic. I'm thinking I can do 1 or 2 flats a day. Flats are super obnoxious. It's very tedious and it's mostly set up for rendering.

Turn around time is around two months. There's also now a list of things I won't do and that could be added to. Now you might say "hey waitaminute, you did a preg commission." I did. I normally wouldn't have, but it wasn't fair that the person had paid for it since I hadn't said I wouldn't.

edit, I said it was open now, but to prevent double charges, I'm moving the opening to tomorrow.

I recolored the first three pages of Chapter 2

The lighting REALLY bothered me. It was coming from a bunch of different directions, and was inconsistent page to page. This ruined the form. I like these pages. I added this section mostly so I could draw them, and I wanted them to be good. So I took a week to go over them and fix them.  So I used some digital mannequins to get a reference like this.

The Final Page of Part 3 Chapter 2. I felt like I really had to knock it out of the park. I didn't succeed but I still like how this page turned out. Once again, I may edit this tomorrow if I see anything I really don't like and can change.

I'm a couple of days behind on this because of flooding near my home. Spent a couple of days setting up sandbags.

Each one of those sandbags had to be filled and they weigh like 50lbs each, and this is just a single section of my house. I am sorry. There have been so many delays simply because life hasn't let up this year so far, and I'm getting really tired of it.

Hey there. So I've been working on this on the weekends. I kept redrawing it because it was missing something. 

I'm very happy with its direction, and I'm considering adding it to the comic itself proper. 

Toph Heavy Part 3 - Page 35 - Final

I am tremendously happy with this page. I hope I can keep it up through the rest of the comic. I have to admit, I got a little bored through most of chapter 2. Much of Toph's experience on the ship was put in there because I wanted more "Zuri" with characters other than Azula. But in retrospect I should've just done a bunch of cameos and not worried about the story. I've learned that as long as I'm having fun, the product will turn out better.

I'll finish this tomorrow. I need to finish the background, the baby batter, and push and pull the darks a bit. This one is pretty easy, but I'm working on a commission at the same time, so I'm a little slow.

For pretty much the rest of the comic its all Azula all the time. I really like this page. I have to admit, I haven't really liked a lot of the recent pages. I just haven't been that in to them. But this page turned out really well by my standards. I also tried out some new techniques in the lettering process. I like the results.

Pages 33 and 34 WIP

I'm still working on Page 33. I'm trying to get the background to the place where I want it. The first and second panel are still barren, but everything I add doesn't seem to work. I know Panel 2 needs the most work because the color right now kind of implies that the camera is pointed towards the floor and that doesn't jive with the perspective of the character. I think I need to figure out Panel 2 before I can fix Panel 1. Panel 3 is probably going to need motion lines to emphasize Azula an...

The Future of this Patreon: a schedule (some Baiken included)

As some of you may be aware, my father passed away. What you may not be aware of is that for the past five years, my focus was on taking care of him. I moved back into my childhood home in the Summer of 2017 because he had gotten too weak to do anything and my Mom needed the help. Taking care of him was very rewarding. The one thing I really suck at drawing are scenes that are necessary but not all that interesting to me. I am thoroughly unsatisfied with this page, but I have nothing in my head for a redraw, so I'm just trying to make this as good as I can.

I really like how this turned out. There are three things I'm probably going to change looking at it now; I think I may need to adjust an awkward line of text, adjust the text's placement within the bubbles, and add a rim light to the tall guy. BUT this is pretty much done and worth sharing and I'm moving on to page 32 today.

My work schedule is Monday through Friday is Toph Heavy in the morning. Saturday and Sunday is commission work in the morning. And then all week in the afternoon...

Toph Heavy Part 3 - Page 30 - Final

This is one of my favorite pages so I spent a little extra time getting the render juuust right. Very happy with the result. I wish I were a consistent version of this throughout the process.

I have to admit. I'm a bit scatter brained with everything I gotta get done. I've been throwing myself in to work, redoing pages and rewriting dialogue. I'm probably going to post a big update with the entirety of Chapter 2 once I'm done.

Toph Heavy Part 3 - Page 31 - Render WIP

So guess who spent the day accidentally rendering the wrong page? Sorry that I've neglected this tier on the patreon. I think I'm going to do a big upload either later tonight or tomorrow to kinda show you what I've been doing, and the methodology of it.

In regards to this, it's still unfinished. The lighting isn't necessarily all good. Right now it looks like the guy on the left is wearing a hair piece, and I'm not sure if I'm going to keep the rim light.
