Two years ago today, we launched this Patreon to see if we could partially fund me doing a show with some part-time help from Jennie.

Analysis: The Declining PC Market

As you will or have heard on DTNS the latest numbers for PC shipments in Q4 came out and the market is falling. Q4 is often a bright spot for sales but for the PC market anymore.

IDC pegged the decline in Q4 at 10.6% year-over-year.

Gartner showed it as 8.3%

For all of 2015, IDC showed shipments down 10.4% and Gartner pegged it right at 8%.

New public number - new milestones

Hey all,

You are awesome. Thank you so much for supporting DTNS!

Patreon just made a welcome change in the way they calculate the number they show on our Patreon page. 

Up until now the number was always the total pledged which was a bigger number than what we got since Patreon takes its cut as do the credit card companies.

So!  Starting now Patreon is showing a number that is closer to what we actually GET at the end of each month. The public number...

New Milestone - DTNS 6 Days a Week

Thanks to everybody who responded to the post about milestone goals.

Video Milestone

So. We've been hovering at our current Patreon funding level all summer. That is fine. But it means we've been making no progress towards the video milestone. Here are a few things we've been taking into account.

1. We already do video which many of you say is good enough as is. It just isn't 'official' but you like it fine

Yesterday Product Hunt launched a podcasts section focused on episodes.
