Most of the Order is composed by Dragon Veterans, experienced Riders with many years of work and training. At this point they are quite free to choose where they want to work and what they want to do: they can be warriors, teachers, cooks, masons, dragon carers, anything! They fulfill all the jobs necessary to keep the Order going!
Also since this rank is usually the highest achieved by most Riders and because of the steady nature of the work, it's not uncommon for Veterans to marry and...

A deep delve into the Dragon Novice! This is the rank Jenna and Aida are!
It's quite long running and full of new experiences and challenges! The biggest of which is the establishing of an encampment! Hmmm where have I heard of that before?
Encampments are routinely checked on by Dragon Veterans to make sure everything is up to the Order's code and things haven't gotten out of hand. It's not unheard of for Novices to go a bit wild the first time they are set free.

We're getting into some of the details of Dragon Rider life now!
The yearly procession takes about 3 weeks and involves pilgrimage to the Obsidian Keep, along the way the Order members and general citizenry feast and celebrate along every town and village they stop, picking up recruits.
The Order is kind of a great equalizer since it elevates the peasantry or poor farmers, fun fact Aida was a peasant serving girl before the order. Usually the recruits are around 16/17 years ...

I've got some great news! The comic is going to get more pages!
