Stream Results!

I know tonight's stream was last-minute, so thanks to those of you who were able to show up and help test things! In future these will be announced ahead of time and better planned, I promise!

I did a bit of work on a comic page, then shifted to taking suggestions from the peanut gallery, and these were the results. Hey friends! Thanks for your patience this month … I was glad to get some character designs earlier, but then the holiday season AND the beginning of the race to find a new home before our lease is up began! So the last two weeks have been pretty busy.

I'm going to try to do a bit of streaming later tonight when I get back from dinner! Sorry for the late notice -- for future months I'll be coming up with more of a schedule -- but mostly tonight I'll be noodling around with Clip Studio...

Development: Kaiju, Round One

Again, one more time I’m including my Colossal patrons a peek to see what some of the behind-the-scenes development work looks like!

Here is the rough sketch page I put together while working out the first three kaiju’s designs. Again, I didn’t need to figure out their “normal” size, but I wanted to get myself a bit of a background on each one before starting. Plus, who knows which of them might appear in a future story?

The characters will not actually appear in their “normal” form in this story, but I wanted to get a feel for each character before bumping them up to kaiju form. Besides, much like the X-Files, you never know who might come back in the future. :)

Hey folks! Even though this is a development post, I’m sharing this little behind-the-scenes peek with my Colossal tier fans as well as my Ginormous and Brobdingnagian patrons. Enjoy!

This is Karl von der Beak … the hometown mad scientist, who is the instigator of the events that take place in “Kaiju Attack!.” He’s pretty insane … but there might be a bit more to his personality than that. I’m looking forward to seeing if he comes back for future stories.

Meet Aura … the coyena siblings' mother! This is her first posted picture ever, and she'll make a cameo debut towards the end of "Kaiju Attack!"

Aura is a full coyote, and at 5'8" and 52 years old, she may look like a wisp of a thing. But she's actually as tough as nails and doesn't take crap from anyone, inside or outside the family. A consummate professional, she is serious, no-nonsense, and focused, but is also compassionate and devoted to her husband and children.

Concerning streaming

The Ol' Swimmin' Hole (Commission)

Hello, friends! I owed one of your fellow patrons a bit of work from awhile back, and he requested something with the coyena brothers. Since this is #ThankYouPatrons day, I thought I'd share it! His characters Dave and T'Chall, sharing a bit of casual skinnydippin' time with coyena brothers Zephyrus and Eurus. With a little nudity. ;)

Pending campaign updates

Hey friends! Thank you, once again, to my dedicated early supporters … I appreciate you sticking around while I work behind the scenes to get this campaign figured out. You're all my favorites. :)

Over the next couple weeks I'll be revising the campaign to be a bit more generalized … Loop Garoo will still be in the mix, but as that's grown into a larger-than-anticipated story and development is taking more time, I'm going to be tossing in some shorter-form comics to get things movin...

Secret Project Sneak Peek 4

Another peek into that side project. We'd also discussed a more touristy themed cafe, something like a Rainforest Cafe. Since we've already got animals as customers, I thought we'd make it the Prehistoric Cafe, complete with animatronic dinosaurs and waterfalls to provide a one-of-a-kind dining experience.

I also thought most of the service staff -- waiters, servers, busboys -- would be arboreal, performing their duties while suspended upside-down from overhead branches and vines.
