We get a little flashback scene of when Forte and Hazuki first met in middle school! Drawing both of them at a younger age was so fun! Forte is so precious aaa ♥♥♥

DONE! We've finished chapter 15!!! This chapter was simply wild and it turned out so beautiful Q///Q I could feel the chemistry between Hazuki and Forte aaa //// I can't wait to draw what happens next with them!

Different ambience is still very new to me, which is why I found it very exciting to experiment with the colors. (It's just a shame that bright colors suffer under CMYK while printing... >>)

The rest of chapter 15 should follow in a few days :3 I finished the last page yesterday and now it just needs to get translated. As we are also preparing volume 3 for the german print edition, it might take a few days. Just wanted to update you guys ^w^

You'd expect it would be easier to draw Forte's face now that two thirds of it are covered by a mask, but it really isn't xD But I hope I'm able to convey Fortes emotions even though a third of his face is covered.
Apart from that I don't have much to say about this little update.

Swimming Lessons Part 4

This is the last part of Mono and Mero's little swimming sidequest. Mono seems to have been a rather talented teacher, though it definitely went to his head xD
I was desperately waiting for Forte to have some more interactions with both of them, and it's so silly XDD I'm still in love with the panels where Forte just grabs Mono and throws him in the pool XD He might seem a bit intimidating when he's angry, but he would never do something violent, and actually, he's just having a bit of fun...

Chapter 14 - Work Progress Update

It's a bit of a tricky one to say the least (I say now... just wait until I tell you about chapter 15 8D). In theory 14 is as good as finished. Like literally! There are only 3 pages left for me to draw xDD It's 95% done.

So why haven't there been any page updates until now? Well here comes the tricky part.

Various WIPs

Just some small WIPs. The first one will be the illustration for chapter 12. Because it's a summer chapter I wanted to draw Forte in a cool summer fit. As part of my sketching process, I tend to draw unclothed bodies first and because I'm currently studying anatomy I took the opportunity to test my newly acquired skills on Forte's upper body. Though it was more of a lucky accident and I kinda drew it without even intending to do so. I guess I just got into the flow xD

I was looking forward to the night scene and how I would color it. However, gag scenes turned out to be a bit tricky, because I thought it would look weird if the panels got all bright again, so I had to work around that and I quite like the outcome and color palette!

Now only seven pages of chapter 11 to go! My favorite pages in fact! I will do my best to get them done before connichi next week, but don't pin me down on it XD

Love Melodies Vol. 3 Preparation

Now that volume 2 is complete, preparations for volume 3 are already in the making! We already have a rough plan for the plot and I've already sketched out a few outfits that the characters will wear during the summer.

Volume 3 will contain chapters 11 to 15; well, I haven't sketched anything for chapter 15 yet, but I've gathered plenty of reference material. I can already tell there will be a summer festival, so look forward to some yukata :D
