I was originally going to put them all in costumes, but I thought keeping Annie and Charlotte in their normal clothes made them seem more like they were not playing along.

I tried to put Tabitha and Jesse in outfits that somewhat looked like them.  I thought Tabitha would rather be Sailor Venus, because she was the cool fashionable blonde (wasn't she even a movie star?).  Jesse as Mars was obvious.

Pulse 479 WIP 2

Power Out

My power went out on Tuesday.  I also had no cell signal either, so no way to post or say anything.  Power came back on Wednesday night, but no internet, and cell signal was still mostly not working.  Internet didn't come on until today.  So hopefully things will get moving.

Okay, I thought there had to be a scene with someone being shocked that Charlotte was still alive.  Jesse's from Annie's comic story seemed like a good choice.  My thought is that Charlotte and Jesse went to school together, and that's how Annie met Jesse.

A big dramatic chapter.  I wanted Annie to get a (unfair) headstart in using her suit, but also a negative effect as well.

Okay, a detour to the comic store Annie visits.  They might be talking about in the first two panels they were kicked out of the water park.  Tabitha says she's been kicked out of a lot of places before.

And Jesse from the comic store knows Charlotte-- and is surprised she's alive.  My thought is that Jesse is Charlotte's age and she was Charlotte's friend, and that's how the younger Annie and Lucy met Jesse.

Okay, time to give up on this page being done for this week and work on some other stuff.  Some of these outdoor pages with a lot of backgrounds are just going to take longer than other pages.

Not sure if I like Tabitha in the last panel better.  I kind of depends on if there's dialog or not, because it'll be harder to tell what she's thinking.  In the previous versions, it seemed like she was surprised like Charlotte.  Considering Tabitha always giving Annie advice,...

I've been trying to experiment with coloring sketches using only the Android tablet.  I'm not really used or built for even the idea of coloring something that isn't inked, so it's an awkward idea.

Okay, I moved the movie theater panel up, and added new bottom panels.  They all are on a water slide- and at the bottom, the notice Annie is missing her top.  She's wearing a two-piece, unlike Tabitha who is wearing a one-piece swimsuit (which I assume is a better choice for a water slide).

I thought I should have a montage to show time passing.  I don't know if I should try to add as much dialog as possible, or leave it silent.

Some of these are open to change.

• Bumper cars.  Charlotte might be telling them they don't have to bump.
• Annie's too short for a ride.  I'm reconsidering this one.  Looking up online, at 5' 3", Annie should be -way- above the minimum requirement for any ride.  She's have to be like a foot shorter.

Tali from Mass Effect

Her outfit is really complex, like most modern video game characters.  I didn't even draw the patterns in the purple.

Someday I'll have to get around to playing the Mass Effect games, and see what she's like.

Xom and Iona

Trying to wrap up this mountain of unfinished items.  I haven't drawn Iona since 2009, so I felt like I had the option and need to reconsider her appearance.

It's really a challenge to try to come up with ways to draw Xom without her being boobs with a head and legs.  I'm worried she looks a little too much like Annie here.  I guess a sign don't draw her enough, or don't have one specific picture to reference.

Okay, I wanted to exclude Lucy because the three others will eventually be a team, and wanted this a story about just the three of them.

Already 1/4th of the way through the chapter.  I've got eight pages to have some interesting things happen and then wrap it up.  I think I'll end with a hot springs or beach somehow.
