Yes you could actually cut this into a fourth if we used minimal animation quality, but we're not barbarians here
I mean, aside from making the minimal amount of sprites required and then testing to see if the code works, and THEN finishing up with the full sprite sheet

As you may have noticed, the latest Page of "Baptism by Fire" came a little later than usual.
I simply just need to space it out a little so it wont catch up too fast to the page being currently worked on
Game wise, I finally got off my ass and researched Enemy coding in ZScript. Turns out, it's a lot simpler than I thought.
Here's a quick concept of the Murk design
Ideally I'd want them to fill out various roles and have different shapes and colors to them

The first issue is a rather sizeable one, But it's coming along nicely. I'm sort of new to webcomic work. I've done it before just never on this scale, not even close.
But so far I've been having a lot of fun. I essentially work the night shift cause not much happens during the day, and I can hang with NT so he can give me direct feedback as I work,
We've tackled about 15 pages worth now and are hoping to have something ready within the next couple months.

So in terms of story, I still had it all in bits and pieces. Specific events that aren't stringed together in the best way. That is until I pitched it to my friend NT who happens to be the biggest fan of Vicky, and he slapped it together in 3 hours. And he cooked.

I don't like making the exclusive art. I'm never comfortable with them, and I kept tricking myself into thinking I was. That plus a multitude of other reasons led to me having much less peace of mind. If you subscribed to my Patreon for the sake of viewing or commissioning exclusive art, I'm afraid I'll have to inform you that there will no longer be any future content of that sort.

The weapons are nearing completion but we do have a few major things to work out
-implementing the crossbow
-I realized that the super shotgun is still in the game and yet to be replaced so I'll have to make something quick for that
-balancing the weapons to an extent.

The Scythe and the Crossbow has been indeed, the two hardest weapons to work with so far. You'd think it'd be easy to make a simple swing animation. but you have to make it look and feel like it's reaching out into the area in front, despite being 2D
As for the Crossbow, I just had trouble with it's visual design. I felt the last one was a bit too elegant for Vicky.
Anyway, these two are the reason why I have been taking such a huge hiatus on development. I'm hoping to come back...
