This was a practice work on the coloring and shading. It's far trickier than i expected, but it's something i have to learn. I want to turn some stories into manga and I need to learn that.

7thpkmn - After training

Here's a small personal reminder of the 7th pokemon series and that, at some point, I really should go back to work with it. I am interested in Cecilia Glimmer's adventures and hope to see how they develop. The issue is that I'm a tad short of time and keep on getting sidetracked by stuff, the usual.

I should note that the original was done without the new tablet.

Keyword: Cerberus' necklace (3/3)

Sorry, this one kinda took a while. As usual, you can blame the same troubles: Depression, frustration my inability to accomplish my goals and well, general lack of contact.

Anyway, the words for this occasion were: Cerberus + Werewolf + Necklace. Kind of a rather vanilla combination considering how it basically overlapped overlapped with the two polls i was running. It did make my job easier since, by the time the results were closed i realize how I shot myself in the foot by drawing a huge number of faces. Regular viewers might note that I have trouble drawing muzzles and am still trying to work out the anime aesthetic, so this was a bit of a nightmare.

Here we have the return of the character that has sorta become the mascot for the keyword events, still yet unnamed now she comes with a friend.

Keyword event

As I mentioned back in October while I was working on the Monster girl themed half month draw-a-thon. I toyed around with the idea of making another of the keyword events once this was all over. First of all, sorry for the slow down in updates, as per usual, I've had to deal with some pressing matters that demanded my attention, while also facing the same usual depression.

Hopefully things will start to look up now. Though having said it multiple times throughout the past five years has barely made a dent on my luck.

The rules are as usual:

I'll post a poll on a list of keywords on my DA account. Everyone can cast a vote and at the end of it, I'll produce a piece based on a combination of the three top keywords.

Patrons will have their own special vote going on and will get their own special piece that will be exclusive for patrons.

And patrons that support me over 5$ will get their own special piece with the keywords they choose.

How this event will work on this occasion will be that half the keywords in the pool are taken from those proposed during the october event and I'll add the other half as none monsters so as if to not make the pool entirely out of creatures.

Additional rules.

- This time around given how half of the offered keywords are monsters and the other half won't. I know there is a tendency towards the former. So the rule on this occasion is as follows. All three keywords CAN'T be monsters. If that were to happen, then the third spot would go to the none monster .

Halloween sidestory: Night sleep

I don't know if this will be enough for now, but I kinda wanted to keep on practicing. Now that Bea is stuck as a minotauress until tomorrow's sunset she has to make due with her usual routine in her stronger body. One can only imagine the hijinx that followed with her breaking small stuff she usually handled with no problem and the incredibly awkward conversation they had with mother about dad's secret.

Feeling in a minotaur mood, and well, unlike many of the pics i did for the event, this one had it's own context that just inspired me to do this extra bit to flesh it out. Still feeling unsure about muscle drawing and making it look good, so there is something to practice, as well as horn drawings (so don't be surprise if this changes if i work on this again).

This is the image that spurred  the sequence of events. I was in the mood of playing some anime rom com vibes with this piece and then came up with the previous four pics as a way of explaining this. Granted, I could've left the rest as a caption, but I was already having fun diving back into this setting (and not sure if i'll be making it back anytime soon).

I still need to practice perspective as well as learn better practices for paneling, but I'm glad with the end results.

One of the things I should work on are expression, in particular the whole groaning one.

And as Much as I like the idea of continuing this past the next two pages, I really really feel the struggle when drawing a sea vessel and just wanted to get it done as fast as I could DX. If i were to commit to the story I would need to design the whole thing thoroughly.

For some reason, I keep on pushing my work ahead, so by the time I posted the last image, this one had the base colors down, but end up procrastinating the rest of it until now. So today, without my buffer cushion I had to run through with this ASAP to make it to the deadline.

Keyword Event P: Fox + Flying + Dragon

Sorry for the delay. Between the other activities and concerns, This piece ended up taking me a week more than I had originally expected. And before I knew i had fallen behind in the coloring of the asylum pages. Hope this piece makes up for it, going the extra mile for supporters. Though this is kinda the reason why there won't be a page of the asylum today.

On this occasion we have the words: Fox +Flying + Dragon. Feels kinda straightforward but I don't mind, but I kinda went all over the place with the idea whereas I originally pictured a single image.
