RR "Mines???" illustration WIP #1

I keep saying I want to work on specific illustration ideas and then instead I open up photoshop and start sketching another huge background piece like a CHUMP. But characters in RR keep talking about the mines and I haven't even drawn them!! I want this piece to capture the moment where Andy's like "wait what if I....leave? and don't come back??" 

I've also been really into semi-monochrome vertical illustrations, so this one fits pretty well with the subway piece I finished recent...

He's lived a fast and dangerous life, and these nice alien gentlemen are too vanilla for him. But he keeps hanging around anyways?? He seems to like them but will never admit it. They consider him an extremely fuckable friend. It's a very uncomplicated relationship lol

April Roundup #1

Hey everybody! Sorry for the silence in the first half of April! As per usual, I've been super busy with the softball graphic novel! 

Honestly, it's not exactly per usual, because I'm trying to get as many pages ready to ink as possible because our COLORIST IS STARTING IN MAY! Which is EXTREMELY EXCITING! RR Subway illustration: FINAL

POV: you've been stuck in an alien subway liminal space for two days when these two show up asking for directions. 

I'm super happy with how this came out! I've been trying to up my RR merch game at cons, and so I've been trying to come up with some sfw small prints that I could display at my booth. Maybe this could be one of them! I might have to do a little tweaking so that it doesn't print too dark, but we'll see!

Deedee Valentines 2022 Pinup

You may or may not have already seen the Andy pinup on Twitter already (I posted it on Valentines Day proper), but here are they are together, two horny aliens in love.

These have actually been a pretty nice exercise in using new PS brushes, rendering without adjustment layers and using funky color schemes. Also, good space practice!!

January Roundup

Hey everybody! Sorry I've been a little inconsistent on the Roundups lately, honestly I've just been working on the RR Kickstarter rewards and the softball graphic novel for the past few months, so there hasn't been much else to report! BUT! Hopefully that is ABOUT TO CHANGE because I am planning on launching the RR Kickstarter BEFORE THE END OF FEBRUARY! Wowwie! 

I put a lot of time and effort into RR over the past few years! It sucks that Kickstarter is still being a horse's ass ...

Square comic #3

Not really sure what to call these anymore, since they don't directly correlate with what I have planned for chapter 2. At this point I'm using these little square jobbies for cute jokes and side-character development that I can't fit into the main storyline. 

The idea for this comic is from, like, 2016 I think. Maybe before I even started posting the comic?? I posted the original doodle to my main Twitter account, and the hard copy has been lost to time, unfortunately. Maybe a cop...

And the "final" update (aka, the last one I was able to do.) The text got a little messed up in some of the pages because I don't have the same font loaded onto my computer anymore. Tentacle pin ideas WIP

The final bonus reward for the upcoming RR Chapter 1 Kickstarter! It's a tentacle comic, so we'd be very remiss to not have any tentacle-themed rewards, right?? 

So far, Slipshine is into #1 and #13, so I'll be fiddling with them a little more and trying to incorporate the "Tentacle Lover" text somewhere. I really liked #7 and #8, so maybe I can do something with them later (a sticker perhaps???) I'll post the final design when it's, well, finalized!
