The sun was in the morning position as Heather sat on a tombstone and stared at her monitor.
“So pick something already,” Frank insisted.
“I’m trying!” she replied as she looked through the hundreds of options.
Heather sighed and shook her head. This was harder than picking the right dress for a date, and worse once chosen, it would be final. Now that she had a class at third level, she couldn't change her classes around. Whatever she picked would ...

Heather looked through the dresses she had piled in her room. She needed a proper wardrobe to hang them in, but such a thing was not to be had in the graveyard. Fortunately, her panel did offer her the option of a full bedroom that included a large wardrobe, bookcase, a canopy bed, a large chest of drawers, and a few comfy chairs. She looked forward to getting enough experience to purchase the items, but the experience came slowly.
Grettah returned an hour la...

He flew against the wind of the storm beating his great wings to reach the distant peak. If he didn't know any better, he would swear the earth mother was trying to prevent him from reaching his goal. Around him, lightning flashed and briefly illuminated the snow-capped mountains below, making them appear as a maw of jagged teeth biting at the sky.
Silently he descended to a slope and landed in the blinding snow as the wind tried to strip him from the rock face. He...

The day before was full of surprises, many of them unpleasant. In the end, the wagons arrived, and the camp was set up outside the walls of the city. The men and women who were waiting were slowly gathered into the army. This created all sorts of concerns about food, equipment, and tents that had Gersius and Lengwin up late into the night arguing. Lengwin was concerned they were growing too quickly, and that the resources they were bringing in were not enough to sustain the march...

They turned to see a woman who was easily seven feet tall with white hair over her entire body. She had curled rams horns on her head and hooved feet. She had long ears that folded over and a short black nose. In her arms, she carried as long spear that she leveled at the three of them.
“Stay back!” she shouted.
Heather smiled and stepped forward. “Hello their, I’m Heather.”
“Your monster players?” the woman asked.
“We are,” Frank sa...

Hello everyone, thank you for all your support it means so much to me!
I posted before that I was thinking of changing to the pre-pay option that Patreon offers. After some research I was able to get more information about how this works and have decided to move forward with it.
So then, what does this mean for you?
Really nothing if you are already pledged you will still be charged on the 1st of next month like you would have b...

` “I said I was sorry!” Heather exclaimed as they walked out the door.
“You’re helping us move it this time,” he said.
“The stairwell is too narrow for all three of us!” she protested.
“You should leave it where it is.”
“I want to put it in the room with the door for privacy,” she insisted.
“Lock your front door then,” he suggested.
Heather put her hands on her hips and glared at him.

Heather stood outside her tower and tapped at her panel as it glowed over her left arm.
“So do I make the tower taller? Do I make it wider? Or do I buy things for the inside?”
The skeletons stood silently by and had nothing to offer but blank stares.
“Well, you're no use,” she groaned as she looked at her options again.
Inside the tower, she heard a crash followed by a groan
“Be careful with my tub!” she y...

The sun was in its dawn position, and the sky was blue as they looted Moon's town hall. The goblins agreed to help Heather carry stuff back, and she reanimated her skeletons to carry more. Now she sat in a side room with Frank and Quinny while he worked.
She paced impatiently as Frank tapped through the options on her panel. He'd been poking at it for hours now, going through every menu, sub-menu, or setting he could find. She was nervously optimistic that there wa...

Hello dear supporters.
Unfortunately I have an issue with people joining to read ahead and then dropping right back out. This is can be done because I do all my billing at the end of the month. So you can join now, read everything and then quit and not have paid a cent.
The only way to fix this is to change billing to the first of the month. The issue is my current patreons will be billed twice only a week or two apart. ( What I mean is if I change it righ...

Three days into the march and Lilly was grateful to be settling down into the landing ring. Gersius and Thayle jumped down from her back, looking weary and tired. Their armor was tarnished and stained from flying through stormy weather and standing in muddy fields.
The trips needed to be made to ensure the maximum amount of people and resources were flowing into the campaign. Gersius was determined to strip the land bare of anybody who would help them and the ...

Lilly sat and waited as the wagons went by. Beside her was a black dragon roughly her size with his head low as he sulked.
“How can you stand yourself?” he asked.
“You mean, how can I be so happy?”
He shook his head with a laugh. “You can’t serve these worms and be happy.”
“I don't serve them!” Lilly snapped. “Many of them serve me! I am a leader of a faith, and it's followers.”
He looked at her with a...

Gersius didn't sleep at all as he leaned against the saddle with his wives in his arms. He was grateful he wasn't facing the black dragon that glared at them all through the night. The few times he did glance at the dragon, he saw it twitching as it struggled against the binding.
“Lilly was never like this,” he whispered to himself. He looked down at the sleeping beauty and stroked her soft hair. He could feel her presence in the bind growing slowly...

Sorry this chapter was so late. I had a very hard time writing it. I made the mistake of letting my comment section influence my writing and I lost sight of my character. I gutted this chapter twice to make is read the way I wanted it to read.
Going forward heather is being written the way I want her written. Some people won't like that and I understand. BUT, in order for me to be able to write her I have to write her the way I see her. Doing it any other way makes the writing pr...

Heather felt a wave of relief sweep over her to see Frank was safe. Then she felt a sense of dread to know he was now trapped here with them. She looked back to Moon as the woman shook her head in disbelief.
“How?” Moon asked as she turned to glare at Frank.
“Heather may not be a gamer, but I am,” he said. “When you started being so helpful, I knew you were up to something. So I planned ahead and had a surprise waiting for your friend.”

Heather followed the others down the tunnel as they made their way out. She was grateful they found Dixie and happy they were able to rescue Quinny as well. Now the task was to slip away without being seen. She hoped Moon hadn't discovered her missing yet. If she had, half the town was likely searching for them.
As much as she tried to focus on the here and now, all she could think of was Frank. Knowing he was being repeatedly killed to make her coopera...

Gersius took her to the saddle and set her down. She fought him and tried to stand but didn’t have the strength.
“You have to go back!” Lilly cried. “She's still in there!”

chatper 25 of the Dragon knight prophecy is written. I just haven't had a chance to do a full edit on it. In light of the vast number of errors I made on chapter 24, I wanted to give this one a more thorough edit. It should be up in the next three hours.
Again sorry for being late.

“Well, we can't stay here. Moon will come back eventually,” Margus said.
“We have to find Dixie and my panel,” Heather urged.
“We can’t go to the other side. Moon’s goons are in there,” he replied

The battle in the forest was over in moments as Moon and a dozen others appeared out of thin air. Her skeletons wounded a couple but were no match for the numbers. Heather tried to run, but one of them was the dark-furred catperson that was with the death knight, and he was on her in moments.
Heather was wrestled to the ground, tied and dragged back to the town hall. They tied her to a chair and locked her in a back room where they left her sitting for hours....

“So she can’t use it at all?” Heather asked.
Frank shook his head. “No. This is why I said I didn't think I could do anything with your panel. Only the person it belongs to can use it. I can look at the screens, but I can't make any changes...

If you look at the very top of the blog section you see Overview and Posts. If you click on posts you get a box that allows you to sort posts by tag. If I tag all my posts as either. Heather t...

Heather walked triumphantly down the forest path in her lovely blue dress. It came with an undercoat of white lace with a silk lining. In addition, he had a hand mirror, a small brush, a bucket, her lanterns, and candles, and four bottles of apple cider.
